Long time, no see! So, it's not a Taco... but I'm back in a Toyota :)

Just snagged a 100 series from another dude here in town. It's getting some deferred maintenance done and I should have it back on Monday. Excited to get back at it!

Anyone got tips on title transfers? The local shop in South Austin has a constant 2hr+ line out the door. Scared to see what the DMV looks like... but maybe I shouldn't be? Need to do another title transfer soon.

Can a dealership do it for you? They have the ability - the question is “would they?”

    .

Title transfer is a tax office thing and not a dmv thing. That's what my boss said to me today since he just did a title transfer for a motorcycle he had

In that case, check out the tax office web site. You can actually schedule appointment times. I had no issues renewing both vehicles when they reopened.

happened to my niece the other day, messed up her new Hyundai, illegal with no license, "temp insurance" that's now denying the claim.

Drivers without insurance and/or licenses should immediately go to jail.

His parents have to be thrilled with that. Everyone okay? Cops respond, or did they defer it to insurance?

As soon as he said he didn't have a license I called APD to make a report. They responded on site very quickly. Another truck got caught up in the accident as well. So he's got two vehicles on his record that he hit. I have my claim put in with USAA, pictures, the police report, all that.

Can't even open the tailgate right now cause it's crumpled in.

Whats up y'all? I'm considering relocating from FL to AUS for work, anybody got info on good areas south of Austin that are good? Kinda eyeballing Lockhart. I wouldn't want to live in the actual city but want to stay within a 30ish min drive to the airport.

    Thanks!

USAA is going to be awesome here. I had a fraud incident about 15 years ago (lady in San Antonio swooped in front of me and then locked up her brakes), and they sent a private investigator after her. She got busted for all kinds of shit.

Allstate may claim that you’re in good hands, but USAA is who they all want to be.

:pccoffee: Good morning ATX! Another courtyard project day - it IS nearing completion! If it was hotter, I'd be faster!!!

Around Lockhart is the slowest growing place in CenTex, and that's just fine. Still a small town; downtown getting "hipper", but the drive through line at DQ is as close as it comes to ChickFilA around here.
