If you go into it knowing youll have to cut em and are prepared to do so, it wont be bad. Just slice the bolt between the spring and the mount on either side and thats it.

True, its better than just hoping. I'll grab some new blades, I hate having to run out to the store in the middle of something.

I had a neighbor like that in TX. His driveway was bleached white, his lawn was impeccable. Every day on weekends he would sit on the porch and just stare at all the kids in case any of us stepped foot on his lawn and messed up a perfect blade of grass. If you did, he'd threaten to go grab his shotgun lol.

Easy to get to not to replace. Part Number is 90930-03114. I couldn’t get them to budge last time so I popped the caps off and cleaned them out. Just like my mechanical speed sensor is stuck on this case. R150F+Trans combo are out of a 95 Taco that spent time up north.

I’ll likely just put one of my clean resealed cases into this truck when I have a garage again. Then go through the case when it’s on a bench. And hopefully not crack the housing.

It should get better once I get settled in. But that could be a minute since the window blinds people are 6-8 weeks out and I dont want to live in a fish tank lol.

Just been knocking out the small stuff and the cost sure does add up.

Failed on being rude on the internet.

You didn't tell 3rd Genners that buying a $300 shovel doesn't make them an Overlander

    @eon_blue

I'll get a mounted side by side comparison tomorrow but check this out -

    20210618_100818.jpg

    20210618_100830.jpg

I'm sure once the tire is mounted/stretched around the wheel, it'll sit a bit shorter but still...a huge difference.

I don't even remember such a difference (even if its 1" larger) when I put the unmounted 33" Cooper next to the 32" Falken -

Holy crap yeah that tire is way taller...I do remember the Toyos having a slightly larger diameter when comparing them to the STMaxx but not that much. Hopefully it does go down when put on a wheel

I should run them all the way around; but really the Fresno commute would kill them pretty quickly.

    So, apparently they're 33.5" tires.

Yeah iirc the STMaxx are listed as 32.8" or something like that. Just a hair under 33".

But really that's not even 1 whole inch, looks more than that in the pics. But they probably will go down a bit when stretched onto a wheel. Plus one's brand new and the other has some miles on it

Does make me wonder how safe it would be to run as a spare for more than a short while with the difference in diameter, I'd put it up front to be safe

It's a spare I would hope not to use/need but if so, yeah I'd toss it in the front if I had to lock the rear at any point.

Imagine changing a tire out if you ran 40s :violent:

I've known a few guys that run 35s that don't carry a spare because it's just too much extra weight, though I dunno how anyone could do a long 4x4 trail without a spare. I don't like tempting fate lol
