I think I remember reading somewhere that the 2nd gen tpms sensors won't work on 3rd gen. Is this right?
    Thanks

The 2nd and 3rd gen use the a different frequency TPMS sensor - 315 MHz for 2nd gen & 433Mhz for 3rd gen.

Both are 315MHz and physically the same size. The 3rd Gen has a dash display showing each of the four wheel pressures in real-time, idiot light in the dash triggers when a tire/tires drop below pressure below the "set window". I do not have TPMS temperature reading in my '17 (maybe the newer 3rd Gens show tire temps?).

I have had two different sets of OEM 2nd Gen TPMS and they do not work in the 3rd Gen, (tried in vain with my Autel 608 TPMS scanner.), and with the 2nd gen sensors installed, the 3rd Gen TPMS dash display does not show the 4 tire pressures and the TMPS idiot light flashes.
