My cousin that we're staying with for a couple nights when we get to Missouri next month is organizing a family dinner at a restaurant down the street from her house, called Chicken & Pickle

If that's not the midwest I dunno what is

You didn't? I keep forgetting the timeline when you got that rear swing out and mounted the stock spare to it

I had pulled my spare at the same time I yanked off my running boards and sway bar which was the day before heading out.

Swing out was ordered pretty much when I got the 4Runner but shit...it took 3 months until I picked it up? Those guys are non-stop busy but they've added a lot of cool tooling to get shit done.

 

Somehow I thought I had more consumables on hand. Just blew up the last cutoff wheel I had now I'm debating whether I'll go to HF or not.

I probably shouldn't since I'm on call and it's 30 min away

 

My cousin asked me to make some crucible tongs for him. They sell for $200-350 plus and i figured for $30 worth of material it'd be a fun project.

 

Crucible tongs sounds like some kind of medieval torture device for the antichrist

Not too far off. They're for removing a crucible full of molten metal from a forge

huh, I looked it up and thought it was just a fancy pair of spaghetti tongs. But I also cut pizza with a screen roller for 2 years so

 

I bought some type of appliance warranty policy with one of my early home purchases. It turned out to be well worth it. The hot water heater, dishwasher, and central air unit failed after a few months. That took the sting out of having to replace those items.

 

Ahh ok I've seen those, the ones I saw online looked more like regular tongs you find in a kitchen or a doctor's office lol
