Correct. Now until the night of the 9th, free shipping. Starting the 10th, there will be LTL freight charges.

What’s the average ETA for freight delivery?Been almost 2 weeks since mine shipped freight. The delivery date increases a day every day I check it. Just curious if that’s normal or not?

Have you tried calling them? If not, highly recommend calling. It's possible there is a backlog, it's lost, possibly damaged so they held it. It could be any number of things. If you ordered through us, shoot me a PM with your order number. Happy to investigate as well.

Just waterproofed bed in preparation for my shell. Took about an 1hr 30min from start to finish. JBweld RTV sealant and tailgate seal. Put a bead under all bed caps and filled all holes so no light is shining in any where. Will update the thread if it holds up or still leaks.

Thanks bud! Its actually just plastidip, I did 1 can of brass monkey and 2-3 coats of burnt copper from dipyourcar.com per wheel. Plan to replace the rims when i go to larger tires probably next year.
this is the exact kit that i used: https://www.dipyourcar.com/collecti...s/antique-bronze-wheel-kit?variant=5630996356

I like it! Unique and cost effective. Have you had any issues with it chipping? I just put the black vinyle on mine sold on etsy. Helps save some coin for other mods that i prefer more.

Also, im assuming you took your tires off the wheel while you preped and did this correct?

Too old to be climbing up a small RTT ladder, so, do I need bed stiffeners for my Smartcap? Asking for a friend.:D

Required? No. But the Tacomas are known for some bedside flex and the Smartcap weighs in around 185ish lbs. So for less than $200 you can typically get a great set of bed supports to ensure bedside rigidity

This is hugely helpful to see this particular image. I've got a Prinsu rack on my cab roof, have an RSI SmartCap on the way, and eventually want to put a Roof Nest or iKamper on the SmartCap. I've been wondering how the mounting will work across both roof racks, but by the looks of it, it looks like you only mounted the RTT to the rack on the SmartCap?

Correct. The RTT is only mounted to the Prinsu rack that installed on the RSI cap itself.

Hey, anyone here getting updates on when the next batch of Taco SmartCap Evos are expected in the US? I was told to expect late May or early June but haven't heard anything for over a month - asked this morning and was told there won't be another update until the 25th - huh? ... -starting to wonder if they actually arrived and my order got skipped :notsure:

Lead times are largely based on when you ordered. It's unlikely your order was simply skipped. Most of the incoming ocean containers arriving lately have been getting held up at port. Every major port up is severely backlogged right now which is leading to extended timelines for offloading, processing, Customs clearance, etc. Demand is still sky high for these. Any orders placed today are likely not going to ship or be available until January or February '22.

Yeahhhh I ordered on April 15 because they said there was one not spoken for in their bulk order and should be 4-6 weeks. Port delays make a lot of sense tho - thanks very much for taking a moment to respond!

I ordered mine through @OffroadAlliance.com mid April. They just contacted me a few days ago to make the final payment and have it shipped out. And I received a shipping notification yesterday in my email but I believe it was just the med kit as it was USPS first class mail and not a freight shipment. I imagine the cap will ship in the next few days. I was also told that the table I ordered with it will ship in July.

I will follow up once I get everything assembled and on the truck. I have taken some ideas from different members and I will be putting down Silicone and Butyl tape this weekend to seal off any gaps/holes to prevent water intrusion.
