Today is 1 year of my ownership. So here is my feelings of owning a brand new 2020 TrdOffroad 5 ft model in base.
So far 45000 km done on this truck, I have 0 problems, except dead battery, maintenance was done on regular basis, changed oil 0w20Castrol Edge 3 times, replaced cabin and air filters. Everything was done by myself in my garage.
Extra parts aka mods installed: LeerXQ shell, air lift support(cause Im an electrician and my bed is always full), Enkei RPT1 wheeles, tires still from the factory, Husky floor mats, Rough Country seat covers and RCI full kit of skid plates.
So far so good, I like the truck, I like 120 v outlet in my bed for charging Makita batteries and Thule roof rack on my shell!
Not planning to do extra mods cause that's enough for my needs!

Hey! Not someone complaining about how it doesn't ride like the kia sol or bmw mom wagon they traded in for the truck.

Good to hear. Ive had mine since January and have about 4000 miles on it. Love it.

So far after a year and a quarter been real happy with my 2020. Just got back from a 270 mile trip today with my utility trailer picking up a pristine lawn tractor on the other side of the state. Encountered all types of roads from interstate highway to back road highways to 35 mph county roads. Doing a fuel economy test from beginning to end....got 20.3 mpg. If i had my old gen1 4.7 tundra i would of been lucky to see 14. Granted low end torque wasn't always the same, but this v6 tacoma had giddy up when called on.

I'm confused, you did new rims but kept the original tires? Can you explain why?

Easy, Ill wear off tires from the factory next year I think, then Ill do the geolanders or k02 for the perfect off road
P/S: original offroad rims I used as the winter setup with michelin xice

Ahh that clarifies it. My strategy with car ownership has always been to save up, wear down the original no-seasons that the car came with and then buy my summer tire/rim setup and new winter tires for the original rims at the same time.

Same end result just two different paths.
