haha I think the root system of a giant Sequoia will create some problems in the neighborhood in a 100 years or so

They thrive in dry climates so it probably won't get all that big

Redwoods would probably do better out there, they thrive in wet climates which is why we only get them on the coast out here. There's not nearly enough water anywhere in else in CA for them to grow, they survive in CA primarily on all the fog that rolls in off the ocean.

A tall redwood takes in up to 500 gallons a day, crazy

That's what I was going to say; he's better off with a Redwood with that much humidity.

    They're all over Santa Cruz.

I dunno about that hot humidity though, where they grow out here in NorCal and the PNW it doesn't get anywhere near that hot lol.

I looked it up briefly and apparently there are redwoods that grow out east, but they don't get as tall due to the weather and lightning storms

I'm pretty sure Danny won't go right into a Redwood right off the bat.

Have to consider maintenance as some trees need it year round where others do a complete drop of debris all at once.

Then you need to consider canopy, height, etc...

It rarely gets to 100 here. High 80's low 90's for about two months is usual.

I'm sure it's only in CA, but that tree will bring its own value based on age and species.

I had that whole issue with cutting a tree down at the old house and had to get it appraised and approved for removal before I planted another one. Could've resulted in fines if I cut something down without notice, especially if it was an old tree.
