If Toyota would fix the design from the front doors forward they might have something worth selling. That front end is an afterthought. :puke:

It will be released just in time for something in the world to blow up, Lake mead is going dry, Oroville is going dry, too hot to go camping and the wife is knocked up with twins so videos on the Sienna not a the other McLaren Senna is being searched for as the beer and bong budget drops to 20 a week.

Will Toyota amaze up and pull a T100 and leave in the 5.7 hoping it's just enough

Yeah, and a hearty load of flatulence. The 4runners are already underpowered gas guzzling pigs. I seriously doubt this is full-size truck is getting 20mpg or better.

    Two wonders from my armchair:

    1. Are they now called Tundra lights, or do we have to keep calling them raptor lights?
    2. When will manufacturers choose a design philosophy that allows for bumper replacement without cutting up shite?
    3. Oh, call it three… are the DOT lights necessary or just there for aesthetics?

I can't live up to the lifestyle these trucks project. I already want to turn down the styling on the current Tacoma Pro.

Toyota doesn't do afterthought design. They always design for a purpose.

I think Ford will have a home run with the Maverick. It might make some people question if they really need a full size truck. I mean back in the day my grandpa did all kinds of crazy stuff with a 1983 HiLux

Yet the Tundra is a uniquely North American product.

That built in light bar is tacky and very American. We love this shit just as much as $9.00 hamburgers with 1900 calories and that's only lunch. The front end is a mess. If given the option between this and an F150 i'm going with the F150

I'm on the fence with this design. I still need to see the interior, features and especially the MPG. If it's 30mpg or over I'm sold no matter what it looks like. We'll see soon enough.

But Americans want light bars and LED lights like a Raptor. Seems they are meeting market demand in their design.

    You're a negative Nelly, Itchy.
    Unfortunately, I wholeheartedly agree.

Pro grills and Rapter lights got us to what we're seeing today.

Modern trucks have me longing for the days of square body Chevys and Fords. I think the simplistic look of the new Bronco is what makes that visually appealing.

Now if any manufacturer came out with midsize pick up that resembled the trucks of the mid 70's to mid 80's that would be something.

They must have been drawing this up in 2015-16 because it seems like the light bar craze died around here. The only thing I see them on now is clapped out Sunfires and Foresters

If you want to be lied to call a consultant if you want the truth ask an asshole. The new Tundra front end is a mess. It makes me think the Ridgeline isn't so bad
