Intro to fitting 35s (< 3" Lifts for those that wheel and love alignments)

Just basing this on the specs the manufacturers have put out I don’t have the tires here to measure. Yours are just over 12.5 but his are like 13 wide and some 12.5s are even wider than that

I've been digging through this thread for a while. I'm looking to go from 16 to a 17 wheel. It seems like 17x8.5-9 with 4" offset is ideal. Is there a list of wheels with those specs anywhere. Every time I Google I find like 3 wheels to choose from.

 

I have the tabs, but its broken from the fender flare side, so the tabs will not work.

 

Can anyone share what they paid for a cmr? I was just quoted 10 hours and I feel that’s a bit high. Seems like 5-6 hours of labor to me

 

Read all 71 pages.. running 2.5 lift, Spc uca and 2021 4Runner pro wheels. Currently on 33s. Getting myself ready for 35x11.5. Cmc and fender clear scheduled, sso high clearance front bumper ordered. Hopefully I won’t have to buy new wheels.

 

Currently have 886 coils, CMC, SPC UCA, pinch weld smash, 2 inch fender cut. Looking to jump to 315x70x17. I need to get new wheels, but not sure of the offset and backspacing. I've read most of the pages in this thread and have come to the conclusion that 4.0 is ideal for backspace. I don't know what offset though, and don't understand it all enough to know how to fix it once I get wheels and they don't work. Thanks for any responses.

 

Thinking of going with these as cheap off-roaders. Vision Off-Road Nemesis 17x9 6x139.7 -12et 4.5bs. Can anyone in this thread confirm or deny that 315 will fit? Set up in previous post.

 

You're going to rub everything. But they will bolt on.

 

I've been looking at scs ray 10s as they seem to be a little better specs from my understanding.
17 X 8.5 6 X 139.7 4.30" -10mm 24 lb 10 oz
17 X 9 6 X 139.7 3.50" -38mm 25 lb 14 oz
Have any input on these specs? If they will rub what is the issue with the specs and what should I be looking for.

 

Depends on tire width but 4.3 may bring you too close to the UCA so you might need to add a small spacer. The 3.5 is a good backspace you might need a more aggressive CMC and heat molding but 3.5-4 is generally pretty good.

 

Thanks for the response. I have a pretty aggressive CMC, nothing currently to hear mold. I do have some geartech fender liners to add once I get the set up dialed in.

 

You're best bet is to just get the 35s and stuff them on. Then you would know exactly where your issues are. I had a ton more than expected.

 

do you have any pictures of the fenders with the fend x liners? Seems like a good option, this is also really the only part I don’t like about going up to 35s.

 

I’m in the process of doing what was posted earlier in the thread. It’s way cheaper plus honestly looks better IMO and way easier to customize to your liking/easier to mount than using the cheap plastic tabs (and is more heavy duty). I considered the fendX option but this changed my mind.

Also it’s not necessary as @JoeCOVA mentioned earlier, he didn’t trim and has no issues fully stuffed on 35’s but of course you’ll have to have the right set of wheels etc. Personally I just hate the crappy plastic stock inner fender liners and couldn’t wait to rip them off after heat molding them etc. Plus I think the trimmed fenders just look better … less plastic=moar better IMO

 

I’m very curious as well. Haven’t seen many good photos of the Fend-X liners installed.

Wanting to go back to stock fenders, anyone here want to trade their superwhite stock uncut fenders & flares for my trimmed ones? I'll add $ to sweeten the deal. Fenders & flares both have weather stripping.

 

35’s are on along with fender trimmed and CMR.
Still rub on the body below the pinch welds. My caster is max at 4.9 already how do I fix this rub!!! Running kings 2.5ext with Camburg arms

 

Have you hammered the wells yet? You should be able to get at least 1/2" clearance with some sledge love.
