    I drove a brand new third Gen when they first hit the dealerships. Bought my second gen two months later. Third best decision of my life.

    Yeah when I bought my truck the third GEN was still about a year away. I was tempted to hold off but my truck had only 18,000 miles on it and priced decently at $24,000

    Took me 6 months to find a low mileage, manual gen2.5 when i got mine 3 years ago. My dad, who is generally tighter than skin on a weenie when it comes to money, surprisingly encouraged me to just go buy a new 18 since it would only be a few grand more. So glad i held out, several of my toyota buddies have 3rd gens and they offer to trade me all the time.
