all right guys in need of expert help. So what had happened is the leftmost plug on the climate control panel which I assume is for changing the speed of the blower motor had the ground and the power wires exposed they touched I heard a pop and then my blower motor stopped working completely. I still have everything else working as in it will change from cold to hot and change the vent from feet to face to windshield because I can hear their motors working the only problem is the blower motor wont come on. I spliced in a new plug after cutting off the exposed parts. Checked all the fuses with the meter and they are good switch the relay and still nothing. It’s not the resistor as that was just recently replaced a year ago same with the blower motor. And I checked with a multimeter and I’m not getting any power at the plug for the blower motor I’m not sure if there’s a fuse I’m not aware of because I checked all the ones in the engine bay and under the steering wheel. Please help and thank you.

i’ve also taken the dash apart and the AC amplifier looks good as well I don’t think there’s a problem with engine control module either because that would have a bit more serious consequences

Check the 50 Ampere heater fuse under the hood fuse panel or the 10 Ampere IG1 No.2 Fuse in the dash fuse panel to the left of the steering wheel. The blower motor connector should have 12 VDC applied to it whenever the truck is on. The blower is switched by the ground wire as you can see the AC Control Assembly is on the ground side of the blower motor.

Don't trust your eyes when checking fuses, it isn't a reliable method, it can appear good and still be blown. Use a meter or a test lamp.

    50 amp heater fuse.
    10 amp IG1 No. 2 fuse.
Defective heater relay, ( not likely, but possible ).
    Defective wiring.

Check the 10A IG1 No2 fuse. Replace if needed.
Then pull the relay and check for power at pins 5 and 1 -with the ignition ON.
(Basically you are looking for power on to 2 of the 5 pins.)

Let us know what you find.

Ok guys so after alot of troubleshooting I FINALLY figured out exactly what is was and it was the weirdest problem. So basically there is a spring in the fan speed control and that was missing somehow so i went to a junkyard and found a replacement and placed the spring into the controls

So someone had the switch apart and lost the tension spring for the contacts?
