    My wife loves sunflowers and they remind me of her. This is at a church we just did a job in. Makes these 90+ degree working days in Texas pass a little easier knowing who I have waiting for me at home. Not sure if it qualifies as a portrait, so I marked it as such.

    I was in architecture for a bit and had a professor obsessed with non-linear thinking. He used a reference (can’t remember the name, Internet search produced inaccurate results) of the first recorded artist that produced a self portrait of bodily fluids (7 total) — tears, poop, semen, etc. They were secured in vials on a wood plank for display.

    It sounds disgusting, but it quite literally is a snapshot of who you are. In the same vein, a collection of memories (like sunflowers) begins to define her portrait.

    Excellent photo and I appreciate you sharing part of your/her life
