My simple OBA install/review.

I just recently installed a MV-50 compressor under my hood and ran the hose back to the bed. I mounted the compressor right next to the intake hose with a sheet of runner underneath it to soak up the vibes. I just did a quick install in order to have OBA by the meet this weekend. I ran 25' of 3/8" air hose to the bed. I plan on adding 4 2.5 gallon tanks under the bed, so that if need be, i have enough air stored at 150 psi to run an impact gun in short bursts. Or any other air tool for that matter. At first run, the compressor took my 315/70r17 from 10 to 45 psi in about 5 minutes. I love the airhose the compressor came with as it has a screw on coupler for the valve stem so that you just screw it on and leave it, no more cramping hands! Lmk if you have any questions, or would like any specific pics, i will be putting up some basic ones tonight. for now here is a pic of where i ran the hose to:

very cool. would like to see pics of the engine bay with the compressor.
Are you getting rid of the spare tire underneath the bed? Otherwise you may run into space constrains mounting 4 x 2.5 Gal tanks under there.

Why wait? this whole install cost me about $100! Buy the stuff and ill do the install for you in febuary.

Ya i have no spare under my bed. No point in having a 30.6" spare with 35's lol

I have the MV installed in my Wrangler - it's sitting behind the rear seat, and have thought of putting one in the Tacoma.

What compressor did you use for the whole set-up to be 100 smackeroo's or is it just called superflow?

just realized a problem. There is no filter on the intake ! well any suggestions guys? there is not enough room for the filter. should i just stuff some foam in the intake hole to keep dust out? Im almost thinking feck it because at $60, ill just replace it when it goes out. And not to mention its not going ot be running all the time and it is really well protected under the hood.

I wonder if i could just take the head off, spin it 90* and put it back on. So that the intake would be where the guage is, the nipple would be in the same spot and the guage opposite the nipple.
