I’m glad many are onboard now. For a minute there this thread was losing air pressure.

Well, now that I know what the system was intended for I can see the importance. I thought it was just to let one know of a tire with low pressure. The whole purpose of this this thread was to inform others of this reset button and not to be taken for by a mechanic who is trying to sell them a new tire sensor. Which I was pushed by several over the years in different garages. Granted most were when tires were changed and or rotated but also I was not even made aware of by Toyota techs themselves.

No comments because the TPMS and Reset procedure is detailed in the little book in the glove box. It will have title similar to "Owner's Manual".

    Check it out.

No kidding. Bunch of grumpy old guys in here haha

While I haven't read the owners manual (I know, sacrilege ) there must be a lower limit of the system. The reset button never works when I'm aired down. Not that it really matters, because Im actually capable of using a tire pressure gauge, and can also manage to tell when my tire is 100% flat haha

I had a low tire yesterday
It was caused by a valve core slowly leaking air
After I fixed the problem the light went out on it's own.
My question is---Why a reset button?

I'm pretty sure 07 tire sensors are just all bad now hahaha. I got use to the light... Though, my only concern now is if my spare needs it or not... When the time comes, ill do the main ones and hope I remove the light haha
