I love using the crock pot for roasts, even just 4 hrs makes them tender enough to cut with a fork. Going for a low heat 8 hour cook time today

I just toss small golden potatoes in with the tri tip and they come out super soft in the end

It's a great addition and I should use it more. I didn't have enough charcoal for the smoker but I still wanted to make the brisket.

Smoker is the first thing the new house is getting.

After using one for the first time last Thanksgiving, I got hooked.

I did an oven vs smoker comparison with ribs and it's night and day. Smoker was way better, just takes longer and requires more input. It's a good excuse to start drinking early though

    Oh absolutely.

I can't imagine doing another tomahawk steak but in a smoker.

I seared it on the grill, then tossed it in the oven. Really would rather just use a smoker and call it done.

Man, it's only 11 and I'm wanting to grill a steak already.

What's funny is, my wife and I had this discussion this last Monday about how people stared at us in disgust everywhere we went without masks.

Then today, she sends me this article, and it sums up what we witnessed/experienced most places we've gone since Monday - Doctors explain psychological impact ditching masks will have on society, how long it could last - ABC7 Chicago

Her and I are vaccinated, and we feel safe not wearing one.

The article goes into it a bit more; just thought it was interesting.

I'm at the gym right now since the mandate was lifted 5 days ago, maybe 2 people out of 3 dozen are masked.

I brought one and asked the front desk if it was required and they said no, so off it goes. I feel kind of naked though lol.

I've no problem with people who do it or don't, honestly people get so worked up over the actions of people they can't control. We're 5g imbedded as well so I just go about my way.

At work we still have to due to CA OSHA regs

    Exactly.

We also don't care who wears one or who doesn't; that's your decision and I'd respect it.

It's just those that have opposing views and prefer to look at you with disgust, or even make gestures, simply because they can't respect your decision to not wear one.

In short, if someone can bitch and complain about something, they will. That, never fails.

It's been about a month up here now with almost no one wearing them. Both my wife and I got our shots and we feel safe but if people still want to have them then to each is own. It is nice to go to the grocery store post office and not have to turn around halfway because you forgot your mask.

Some stores still require them and some don't. Save Mart - Must wear a mask, Smith's - back to normal except for the few workers probably not vaccinated yet.

What's funny is, it only took 1 weight (.75) on each side to balance the spare too.

When I was getting my spare mounted, because it's a good 1" skinnier than my regular Coopers the shop had a helluva time getting it on the spare wheel and almost gave up.
