    Is the trim piece holding the weight of the rail or is it resting on the radio/din once installed? I'm sure this has been mentioned but this thread has gotten pretty long.

    It's all sandwiched on the trim and doesn't contact anything else but it is very sturdy. The single aluminum piece distributes the load very well and the trim has pretty good reinforcing ribs molded in.

    Shit I found on CL or EBAY that I could screw on.
    Got my DMM installed and finally all the holders I wanted. It seems solid enough for my normal driving.

    Anyone else’s silver plates warped? Made it so the holes had to be altered once I got to that step, if I didn’t the anchor screws would just get cross threaded. Made it work but pretty frustrating.

    Has anyone had an issue with the ram arms not holding securely to the ball the is provided with the DMM? My ipad that I use Gaia with slowly falls down until it touches the radio. It falls down with the truck parked and not moving. I have used both a metal and polymer ram arm and tightened them down as much as I can. Looking at pictures early on in the thread it looks like the ball mount provided was a matte finished (same as the ram branded mounts) but the one I got has a shiny finish and almost feels slick.

    Try roughing it up with a bit of sandpaper - should help it hold a bit better.
