Is synthetic gear lube an ingredient in meth? That's the only reason I can think of as to why I can't find any of this shit in any auto parts store in hickory.

 

I had good luck at Pep Boys, but then they closed the retail store and only service now . They had a better selection than the other stores.

 

What do you need. I have some at the house if you are in a bind.

 

call the auto part stores in taylorsville, conover, and newton...they are usually well stocked

 

Took me about 5 different stores to find 6 quarts (total) of Mobil1 75w90

 

also, just stating the obvious here, but you did check Walmart too right? I run supertech gear oil in my shit.

 

I found some cheapo stuff, I just need to top off my leaking diffs. I'll order online before Walmart.

Day 2.

Took route 19 west till we hit the BRP and headed north to Balsam Mtn. Saw a few elk on the way.



From the Heintooga overlook on Balsam mtn we took Heintooga Round Bottom rd the 28 miles down to Cherokee.















If your in the Pisgah NF, Maggie Valley, Cherokee area its def worth checking out. 59 degrees at 5200ft this morning. Beautiful and scenic. Great ending to a weekend in the mtns.
