@Shortman5 I had it painted in 2010. I keep it clean by wiping it with fresh micro-fiber cloths daily, never going to any carwash (hand wash only), keeping cloths in Zip-lock bags, and cleaning it in a garage or parking deck out of direct sunlight. Washing the microfiber cloths in liquid detergent only helps - powdered detergent granules get trapped and you could ultimately scratch the hell out of your vehicle's paint. I polish it 3 to 4 times a month. When the DOT puts that brine shit on the roads I try not to drive it if I can avoid it, but I always go to the car wash and clean the underside - the only exception to going there, not to contradict myself. Just make sure it's rinsed thoroughly - you don't want degreasing agents left on any part of your vehicle. To date, with over 315,700 miles - there's no rust.

@BenCO Sharp looking truck! I've thought about reducing the chrome accents on mine, so I'm getting a pair of black door handles and installing them today. I'm also going to remove the SR5 emblems from the side cabs. I think (for now), I'll stick with the tubes/bull bar/front and rear bumpers and call it a day - unless I see something else that inspires more changes, LOL!!

@nagorb appreciate the information. That'll be one less part I have to use Back to Black on when I clean it.

@SiberianTacos Have not seen this color/type of cover anywhere, but I like it. Great quality and it looks like it's factory installed - nice touch!!

FYI - the SR5 emblems are soft emblems (not made of metal) so they usually get damaged when removing them. Because they are no longer available to purchase, they are going for stupid money on eBay, if you can find 'em.

@ireymon yeah I hear ya, but the ones on it now replaced the originals. The originals took a little extra effort to remove, but it wasn't labor intensive. I'm not in love with them, they're relatively small and I'm having the roof and side cab panels repainted, so I'm just gonna leave them off.

    Man, thanks for the offer.
I've been going back n forth on wanting to get new decals made, and even posted suggestions on the TTORA website such... but TTORA is dead. A complete ghost town. Much like was stated above about YotaTech, it's a complete shell of what it used to be.

well I took my truck for it's first test drive after installing the new Radiator and Transmission cooler. I also checked the thermostat and the jiggle valve was at 1 o'clock. I put the jiggle valve in the 6 o'clock position. Today the trans temps never went over 174 degree's driving in traffic. Trans temp used to hit 180-190 and sometimes higher in traffic. The Coolant temp never went over 193. Coolant temp ran between 190-193 degrees. It used to run 195-200. On the interstate, the trans temp never went over 160. So far I'm happy with the results.

Built an ammo box center console. Because my current center console still smells like previous owner.
Perfect height. Now I need to get cup holders.

Its a an MT120 ammo box purchased used via Amazon

Bolts, memory foam and leather I already had.

Measure, drill bolt it up. Rear portion of the ammo box lid I had to cut using a grinder.

I do miss TTORA, many of us made the move. Enjoyed the focus on hitting trails and mods, before you could you buy everything at the dealership.

When your 6 year old decides breakfast and lunch are coming back up on the way home just as you exit the freeway... The result, deep clean. Car/booster seat are more than likely toast but once again, bulletproof taco soldiers on.

Damn shiny bolts and look at that cup holder install sticker - 4/16/02. If I recall correctly, I drove this thing off the lot in June of 2002. Damn.
