Finally got to the third day of the rubicon trip, this one is more of an "edit" so maybe it'll be a tad more interesting

I was there today too. So low! I THINK I might be able to launch the boat though.

I am alive. Kinda. Kern County Sheriff academy has been kicking my ass for 13 weeks lol. Just finished week 13 of 25. Passed pistol qual today for day and night first try, shotgun starts Monday. had my interview for getting actually hired (deputy said they have no reason to not hire me asap)

In other news, I need to get new tires, tie rods (probably just going full steering rack replacement) and an alignment/get my frame checked for bends. Currently on 33x12.5x17s. Would like to go a little more narrow in tires but keep 33s. Anybody have suggestions on a place to get a replacement steering rack? skinnier wheels and tires (maybe just basic steel D window wheels and some new tires?)

    Shouldn’t you be studying?

Glad you’re doing well. Good luck on the interview and completing your class.

I just replaced mine. No name brand.

    Worth checking in here…

    https://www.arboristsite.com/community/forums/chainsaws.150/

it’s a pretty damn good forum for all things arborist related, very active and has a legit classifieds section. I bought a MS362 from a member there about 7 years ago. Best saw I’ve owned. It was hot rodded by the seller and it runs better than any stock saw I’ve ever held.
Anyways… like any classified section it can be hit and miss, but worth a look.

Make sure it has a spark arrester! It’s already crazy dry out there.

Where are you cutting in a fire line?

1 handed shooting and support hand shooting can be difficult. Except when you are only 5 feet from the target (and yes. People are still missing the target lol)
