I was up at Crag for the night last night, trails have really dried up out that way!

Had I planned for tonight also I would have joined, back in the city now...

I would really like to get out with that TRD Pro and do some comparing. I feel like I might want to go back to a manual and clearly this is the only option!

I see 1/4 inch top plate spacers, deaver AAL, rear shock extensions, u-bolt flip with new longer rear bumpstops, a cap and of course some tall skinnies if i do it!

Still loving the ZR2 but wonder when the last year of the Tacoma Pro with manual will come... resale value will be so sick, maybe better than my diesel!

Hey man not sure if you're thinking I have the pro because of the army green but it's actually an 2021 TRD off road. Figured I want to do it up myself eventually and wasn't worth getting the pro.

Would love to check out your ZR2. Did you get the diesel? it's the only other truck that makes me sometimes slightly question my purchase.

How difficult are the trails to Crag? I get various reports. I've been around there a bunch trying to complete a loop by connecting some of the easier trails surrounding Crag, Sullivan and the Quinn's. I hear some of the interior trails there can be pretty advanced. I'm pretty inexperienced and have been out there mostly alone so I've chickened out a couple times with some obstacles.

Sweet, I'll hold up if you are late. Shouldn't be bad, I leave from bells corners usually an hour before and get there on the next hour. I drive pretty slow

    How’d it go out there?

I’ll be down to go next time. @Kronan49 has my contact.

Been a little preoccupied with another toy I bought back in April, so the Tacoma [and these forums] has been a little neglected lately.

Was thinking about Kronan's Pro with the manual! Yes I went Diesel, I love it! It is slow but the efficiency and torque make up for that. On a recent trip to the Weagamow Lk area that was about 4500km's I averaged around 10L/100km that included the idling several times per night due to music or whatever playing and also the usual off road exploring looking for camp, I also drive it without regard for mileage and enjoy it. The low end torque is a whole new world in the trails, it really is great.

I parked at the bottom of the hill at the swamp to head up to Crag. Do i think the ZR2 on 33's will make it, yup! Likely it would be quite comfortable mostly. There is a swamp that can be deep and I wasn't sure of my outcome since the water was oddly high in the swamp area. I miss having a winch up front.

We have to harass @Kronan49 to get some of his videos off his hood mounted camera. I hit some water crossings pretty hard ahead of him so looking forward to seeing those.

Hey man sorry for the late reply, here's a copy paste the groups plan -

"Time line for calabogie trip. I need to get away from work.
Saturday 12pm Calabogie general store on the 508 for your last bit of fuel and supplies you may need. We leave there at 1230pm.
We will travel down the road to the chip stand at calabogie camping & rv resort, for a fast lunch at the best off road trailer park there is. We leave there between 145-2pm so if you want to just meet us there you are more then welcome. But once we are done here it's trail time.
Once we leave the chip stand it's a short 8 minute drive to the first trail on the way to the main area. Yes there will be a few trails taken this weekend and a few spots for group photos.
Sunday we will be in the area still so if you make your way out you most likely will find one of us out there. And my phone is always on so feel free to reach out if I have service I will respond as soon as I can.
Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend and has an opportunity to explore, just remember Dusty Rigs, Clean Trails.

That lake had tons of little fish, saw a boat fishing early morning. I should try to fish there next time.

Another curiosity is the trail that starts around there, that goes really far. I had to turn back, it was getting dark and had no clue where it would end. There's no mapping of it anywhere.

Well if ever you're looking for a fishing/trail buddy I'm in. I'm always trying to find some good lakes. I'm a little distracted this year since I just got my first 4x4.
