Interesting, I'm not a huge SBC fan anyhow. I think theyre heavy underperformers. But I always forget just how different Olds, Buick, Pontiac, and Chevy could be from one another. Oh and this C10 is a Silverado trim level. Has all the goofy bells and whistles

 

I think their under-performance is what makes them last. Never particularly powerful or interesting to drive, but reliable with not a lot of maintenance. I was a little shocked that my 3rz requires valve clearance checks every 50k or so, never had to do that with a much older sbc. They were pretty perfect for gm's target market.

Our 90 suburban was silverado trimmed. Power windows, power rear window, rear AC...and a tape deck with *four* speakers. I miss that truck (don't miss filling the tank).
