I’ve developed a squeak and pinpointed it’s coming from my lower shock mount uniball. What would you all recommend using for lube etc and anyone else had this issue come up

Check if there’s play in that bearing because you may need to replace it. I started with a squeak there and now I’m in the process of changing those.

Unfortunately that bearing will have to be replaced. For time being spraying some DRY Lube (with Teflon) will help with the squeak, but it needs to be replaced (King uniball bearing - B1058)

You will also need* the spacers. I just can't find part number for them. (they're equal length unlike some other brands)

*you might be lucky and be able to remove and reuse the old ones, but...

    Stuff and junk and things...
Unless you want to wait till 10/14/2021 for those to drop ship from King. I stock the parts needed to swap out the lower bearings and spacers for all brands.

Do you always change them? I got word from 2 shops that usually it’s only the bearings/clips that get replaced… unless you neglect to care for them after starting with issues.

I’m aware that worst case it could be the bearings, spacers and even rod end; but idk what’s the consensus here…

As a note, I’m planning on changing mine this weekend (bearings only) after ~30k miles. I hope it’s only the bearings… or I’ll have to head down to the shop for the other parts lol

You might be able to tap/knock them out of the bearings using a small flat screwdriver and a hammer. "We" were able to do it twice on my setup (I live in NE- salt/brine belt) . Last time around everything was basically welded together, but I was ready for it with all new spacers.

Replaced the bearings yesterday. Reused the spacers, but might change them next time.

Driver side was very messed up, passenger was still ok, but given that I already had it apart I changed it.

    New bearings installed.
