Already found that one! Calling on it first thing in the morning. If you had to guess, would you say these are probably someone else's orders that automatically got uploaded to the dealer inventory? I will call on them anyways, but I don't want to get too excited.

Find one somewhere online and do a buy and fly. It's late in the game. One day you'll go to check on it and they will offer you a lunar rock off road with m/t.

they offloads will have lunar rock and you could easily get a M/T next year

 

10k over MSRP would be a big no for me, too. But it doesn’t surprise me.

 

have you looked at the inventory spreadsheet thread? i placed an order in january and found out it wasn't happening late last month. checked out the inventory spreadsheet every morning and found out within a week slightly over msrp. there was one at koons tysons for 15k over msrp, not sure if that's the same one.

My vote is to wait for the Lunar Rock to hit the OR, like I am. Pros aren't worth the hassle, IMO. Much less stock, mark ups and unless you really want that badge you'll probably upgrade all the Pro equipment anyway. Meanwhile some guy is walking in off the street and finding an OR with all the options he wanted and easily getting it 2K below sticker.

Nothing wrong with a faux pro. Only people who want their truck to be a rolling billboard of how much money they can spend will worry whether your Pro parts are OEM.

 

Wow I was looking at Ranger when I was looking to replace my 2006 jeep Liberty CRD Limited that was well in to it's 2nd transmission. Ended up in a Cemet 2020 Tacoma SR5 4x4. Had it since the last week of July 2020 so far it's been trouble free. This makes me glad I didn't get a Ranger and really didn't consider the GM trucks

 

My 2021 took about 3 months to build? I ordered the end of October last year and got it on December 26th. Was a great Christmas present to myself. Pretty sure I also got it before the market surged, so I was pretty happy with my purchase.

 

Honestly I only really want the Pro because it’s done. I will be moving from a house in Michigan to an apartment in Dallas in the fall and I’m not sure I will have the ability to do my own wrenching for a while. I don’t mind upgrading on my own later, but having it done already would be nice.

I am going to make a ton of calls in the morning, but I’m not going to pay huge markup. If I find one, awesome. If not, I’ll adjust my search criteria (color/trim/transmission) and try again!

 

90% are someones pre-order...unless there is a huge markup. So that one for 60k has definitely been allocated to that dealer and they added a markup that nobody wants...yet. haha!!

 

Fair enough. If you don't plan on changing anything anytime soon then the Pro is a good buy if you can find a dealer that doesn't mark up. I love that Lunar color.

I regret talking myself into an OR. Only thing left from the extra money spent is the locker and I paid a good 4K premium for that stupid locker I've used once. Would have been better spent going towards upgrades I actually want.

 

I dropped 4 deposits locally, ended up getting it 500kms away (300 miles, I'm in Canada). I wanted the 2020 Army Green Pro in MT and dropped the deposits last August.

They stopped making MTs so I waited for the new colour to be released, then I finally got mine in April, 8 months later.

Tbh, WORTH the wait, and I paid full MSRP and definitely would have paid more, not sure how much more though. I love my truck. Call around and drop refundable deposits, times running out.

 

I just ordered a 2021 last week which will go into production on 7/5. My local dealers told me they couldn't get a 2021, but I found one in Ohio that was able to do it. The only caveat was that they couldn't get a Pro, which you'd need for Lunar Rock.

I paid a $500 refundable deposit.

There are a lot of apartments in the Dallas/Ft. Worth metroplex with garages if you can afford them. Highly recommended just from a security standpoint alone.

 

It looked like Toyota of Portsmouth NH has a Lunar Pro manual incoming. They want $5k over.
