Leaked Tundra pics may show future for Tacoma

I will wait to judge the truck until I see the real trims and not judge it simply by the professional mall crawler trim.

I like the new trucks from everybody right now so I might be in the minority...

 

Still ugly in white. Looks like they shortened the greenhouse like a Tacoma. Grill too large, lame black hood pimples, bumper too thick. It’s the M3 of trucks….just damn ugly. Good news is - doesn’t matter because I’m not in the market, and if I was for a full-size I’d probably be buying an F150, so I’ll ruthlessly pass needless judgment on something I’ll never buy.

 

I agree, the size is perfect.

Looks like Toyota is following the Nissan path: make your truck look like an F150.

I hate the trend of the glass getting shorter and shorter at the top while the rest of the body gets taller. It's like high waist pants.

 

Chopped top like the old custom street coupes. Think ZZ Top's red 33 Ford Coupe from the 80s videos

 

I can’t believe they built a pro without a hood skewp. There goes half the reason to buy a pro.

 

I want to see the glass go over the roof line. That would be a lot of visibility.

I don't know about nonfunctioning hood scoops. Look at the large vents under the headlights the Tundra don't need more scoops.

You could add scoops to the hood vents if you need more scoops. Add flat bar LED ditch lights to the scoops

 

Don't get me wrong, I love the scoop on the tacoma (I also get this comment was meant to be sarcastic).

But that scoop on a scoop on the current gen tundra makes me shudder every time I see one. F.U.G.L.Y.

 

Hoping the next gen 4runner and Tacoma look better than this.

That looks like poor photoshopping.

 

Could be but Toyota has other models like the Rav4 and CHR that look like there is an I Pad on the dash

 

Hate the iPad plopped on dash look.

 

Love it or hate it, you gotta admit it takes guts to build a truck where the grille is bigger than the bed.

I still hate it.

 

I think this grill looks better than the Pro version. The Toyota letters on the Pro grill are way too big imo.

 

It is missing the grille light bar but the foglights are in the same position and also doesn't have the "Raptor" lights in the grille

Can somebody just peel the clothes off that thing so we can see the non-bro version

 

All the classic Toyota trucks, the old 4runners and Tacomas (including gen 2) had a timeless, understated, classy look with a simple grill, snub nose and clean sheet metal.

The giant nose, largemouth bass grill and flashy sheet metal stampings are more in line with the other modern offerings but we will see how they look in 20 years.
