Ever thing of making the floor hang over the wheels/tires… I’m lost on the terminology at the moment, vs the wheels outside the floor?

problem with that is it makes the deck higher and harder to load a big zero turn because of the gate angle.

also called a deck over axle.

I don't build deck overs. I'm purely a utility trailer fab guy. I like trailers that can be used for lots of things.

    Also, they always sell.

Do you mind giving a rough materials cost? I was debating building vs buying a trailer.

    $300 in iron
    $200 in tires
$200 in lights, jack, coupler, wire harness and verious fasteners.
    $100 in paint
$200 in decking and side lumber.

Building it exactly like I want... priceless.

I might be over or under, but those numbers are pretty close.

Here in Michigan we only have a registration for trailers.

An assembled trailer registration costs $75 and that includes a " forever" lisence plate.

Run far away from that one. 5000 series, particularly the 5252s were lemons. MTD actually bought a bunch of them back they were so bad. I've seen them on the market with super low hours so I think some buyback tractors were sold after they were taken back in.

No product support and almost no parts available. I love Cubs...just not those clunkers.

LED's are the way to go. I recently replaced the stop and tail lights on my 6' x 12' trailer. I need to do the rest. A guy I knew (passed away) built this trailer in 1981, it is a handy size. It's double axle, he built it low so his father in law could load watermelons on it. I can load 3 four wheelers on it if I do them from the side.

Bosses dads mower, the oil dipstick was broke. Used the ole business card for a gauge trick for the new coil. New plug, air filter, and fuel filter. We’ll see if it stays running now.
