I finally got around to aiming and getting comparison shots between the DD SS3 Pro and SS3 Max. I tried to make the ambient lighting as similar as possible and pictures taken from the same spot. Please forgive my rudimentary labeling lol. For a quick intensity reference, check out the fence on the left side. Ultimately, the camera never depicts output as it looks to the human eye. If you’re on the fence on Pro vs Max, both are serious amounts of light for anybody. Both pictures are fog lights only. So, if you’re on the fence...hopefully this “sheds some light” on the differences haha.

I’ve been running the pros for 8 months now. As mentioned numerous times the cut off isn’t as sharp, but they are still great fog lights. I’ve been flashed a couple times, so I aimed them a little lower now, no biggie.
They truly are plug and play though.
I ordered the maxes last week, but they are out of stock…..so I’m waiting:pccoffee:.

    Thanks! @tclavell

@goforbroke123 I have some yellow ones ready to roll right now, and white ones enroute that should be here probably tomorrow. So if you wanna go through the order cancelling process wherever you ordered (I am assuming DD directly) and can show me your receipt from them indicating that you did purchase in the sale window I'll honor the price and get them to you straight away!

Just an option for ya

I drove down the east coast yesterday and used the DD max fogs for a little. Weather conditions were good and I have the selective yellows. Worked fantastic on the backroads but didn’t really need them on the highway. The ultimate headlight upgrade however, would have been worth it just for this one trip, the lows are nice and concentrated and the highs,

The light reflecting of the road signs when passing with high beams is almost blinding!:headbang:

Can anyone tell me what Allen key size is needed to adjust the aim on the Diode Dynamics SS3 pros?

I have to to adjust the aim and I am just going to reach in from the hood so I'd rather not trial and error the size for 20 minutes

Installed the Rigid SAE D-series selective yellow fogs on my Dad's tow rig for fathers day, using 4x4FabWorks brackets for a mid 2000s Ram. I believe Rigid's adapters are just relabeled 4x4Fabworks brackets (as they do with some other brand's brackets) as they look identical.

His stock fogs were smashed, literally.
    8B71FEF6-076E-4EEA-BAF9-FF25606AD858_1_201_a.jpg

The instructions had the entire pod mounted behind the block off adapter plate, with only the center face screws holding it on. It looked very off-brand generic and not that great from a personal preference.

    Stock image:
    upload_2021-6-20_19-58-16.jpg

So we removed the face ring surround from the pods, drilled out the block off adapter plate, so that the Rigid labeled face ring surround could be mounted on the outside of the adapter plate rather than behind it. The product was obviously not intended to be used this way, and the lights were not as centered as I would have liked and the fit and finish isn't as good as what I had hoped, despite messing with all the adjustments for way too much time.

But despite the cosmetics not being perfect it should be a nice upgrade over the OEM units.

The Deutsch ->H11 plugs that I had for the Rigids from my Tacoma did not fit the 9006 OEM plugs. But some nice adapter plugs @daveeasa sent me that I had on hand completed the job in a pinch.

Overall I was disappointed in the execution of this mounting product, and wouldn't recommend it. Except there are no other options for the 03-08 Rams for putting high performance fogs in that location.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
1st gen tundra as in the round fogs or the rectangular fogs

I’d be biting for some rectangular ones. Should be able to fit 2 pods

Early 2000s with the rectangular bottom. The turn signal on both the 1st gen Tacoma and Tundra would be relocated to the parking light location with some wiring tricks.
