When your 6 year old decides breakfast and lunch are coming back up on the way home just as you exit the freeway... The result, deep clean. Car/booster seat are more than likely toast but once again, bulletproof taco soldiers on.

Damn shiny bolts and look at that cup holder install sticker - 4/16/02. If I recall correctly, I drove this thing off the lot in June of 2002. Damn.

its actually very comfortable. I should have double up on the padding. But it looks weird and puffy with too much padding. Over all I built 2 of these suckers actually. another one as back up :) in case this one was going to fail / but it all worked out

Its a an MT120 ammo box purchased used via Amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006A7L2C2/
Gas Spring (lift support) also amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K2FVYNA/
Don't forget to get bolt up hardware for lift support. Like ball joint.
Also a HD steel hinge from amazon https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01ACLFPDS

Bolts, memory foam and leather I already had.

Measure, drill bolt it up. Rear portion of the ammo box lid I had to cut using a grinder.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!
Maintenance and organization is today's goal.

We got WAY out of the best practices with last years complete stupidity and not camping.

Going through the tool kit, ordering the missing pieces.

Burned this one last trip airing up. I need to start being a little more patient while airing up.

Also, made some room in one of the truck boxes by relocating all the straps and 2 emergency blackets to the Pelican on the roof.

Rearranged the molle panel and pouches since Jen wants the fridge on the driver side. The panel was on my seat, but with the fridge there, it was too hard to get to anything.

Made a spot for a new pouch. I figure smalls like fuses and assorted stuff would work in this pouch... ordered.

Fixed the arms on @foxrcing07 new, improved coil compressor. (two of them were facing the wrong way.

    Before

    After

Put the legs I made for the old one, on to the new one.

Little crooked now, but they'll do the job. Also hosed down all the threads with Tri Lube.

Is oem the best way to go on radiators or is a first time fit Denso just as good?

From what I remember when I was looking around, it seemed liked avoiding anything Spectra was a good idea.

I went with an OSC after reading good reviews. First 5000 miles has been a-ok.

Decided I wanted to preserve the paint on the hood from oxidation when I bought it in 2004. It's never been garage kept. This shielding prevents heat transfer which in some instances, accelerates the paint deterioration. It's remained in tact all these years and still does a great job.

Well... continuing with the maintenance theme of the day.

Bought these fancy schmancy pads from O'Reilly.

Here's my trick for cleaning the brake pad pins.

Also pulled the driver side coil over and adjusted it 4 turns down. Truck still leaned annoyingly to the driver side. One day I'll get that where I want it.

Did an oil change and repaired a ground wire under the bed (for my rear facing lights) must have gotten caught in some brush. Rerouted it as well.

Applied a rust-resistant coating to the top of my skid plate (below), changed the oil, cleaned the ac condenser, put on a much needed set of new wipers and spent $2 at the car wash to clean it. Then drove it to dinner and rolled over 213k.

Finally got the trans out and now it’s time to drop it off at the local shop for a rebuild. While the trans is at the shop and the engine is out, I’m going to be cleaning up some wiring in the engine bay, prepping for the super charger, and painting the engine bay black. Glad to be at this point in the build… finally.
