Humid here as well, but mercifully, the temps have broken and we won't even see 80 for a few days.

Not sure how it played out by you, @Plain Jane Taco but mid and southern Indiana got an ass kicking friday into Saturday, with 10" of rain in some areas in a matter of hours, and heavy winds. Yesterday for fathers day, me and another Dad were released for self indulgent day on the bikes. My buddy is a commercial jet mechanic, garage has 15 bikes spanning 60 years in it.

We knocked out 200 miles in 90 degree temps, which gets hot with gear on. The interesting part was we went to rural areas for the twisties, and there was still flooding, mudpack residue from receded flooding, limbs and powerlines to deal with. Really takes away your nerve when you can't trust what's around the bend. Still a great day, though.

highlight: my buddy's daily go to bike is a Griso, a 1200 cc V with 4vpc. It's what I've been lusting after for a few years, even though I'd never ridden one beyond a spin around a block. Was never certain if my tall frame would fit well, and the right deal has never come up. At one point we turned onto what was to be the highlight stretch of the day, and he pulls over. Kickstand goes down, he hops off, walks over to me and says 'get off, my turn.' Putting me on his machine for a sweet 30 mile stretch. It was a good day.

 

All that stuff dipped down to a little south of Cincinnati. We darkened up a couple of times. But it never quite made to us. Northern KY got hammered
