Haha. My knees hurt just thinking about a skate park.
It's a Haro Downtown 24. Basically a big wheel bmx. I have a new seat and pivot post coming in for a tad more comfort, but its been a lot of fun just as it is.

hey, that bike looks cheap enough to not have a comma in the price tag! i don't know if that's allowed here!

Definitely a long way from a comma. I keep her clean though.

Wife sent it too hard this weekend! She's found an aluminum welder to get her back out there short term while she looks for a new ride. That said, not sure who allowed that design for a high stress area.

It is. Are they a cause of problems?

Will say this, I know it was way too tight and I suspect it didn't help the stress on that point. That said, I wasn't about to challenge my father-in-law trail side any further than mentioning it being so tight.

Not necessarily. With that being said, a bike built around QR isn't built for the abuse today's new trails require

Chicken or the egg - better bike or harder trails?

Makes sense. She isn't 100% sure but thinks it is ~8yrs old.

I'm still riding my '09 Trek Fuel 8 w/ 26"s. I'm over due for a full driveline replacement but she's still putting up with my hard riding. Leaning more towards a new/better touring set up for skiing over a new bike as the next purchase since the frame is still in very good shape.

I have a Motobecane 26 HT on the 26s in my arsenal as well. Also QRs.

See a few posts up - I just picked up a 1992 trek road bike - 30 years old and still rockin'. It was pretty ahead of its time in 1992 though, so other than 1 inch HT, it's got all the modern stuff on it. So, I might keep that and build it instead of trading it out for a factory one after a few years. One thing I do miss about the "olden times" is standardization. This bike has everything standard, not this proprietary and that proprietary and this special and that special bulllllllshiiiiiiit to have to deal with. So, honestly might keep that around.

New trail dog in the making!
Just picked him up yesterday, and he’s such a rockstar. Only 10 weeks old and stays right behind you, doesn’t wander, comes when called on his first day with them fam. He’s a little mini AussieDoodle. Such a funny little fella.

The little one was pretty stoked to sit on a bike! Can’t wait until she can reach the ground. Won’t be long and she’ll be out there shredding!

Took the fam out for a shakedown hike this weekend. Nice drive up in to the Olympic Mountains.

Sometimes you just get lucky like that! My dog was riding pretty well straight out of the box, also. Takes riding to a new level - even if you can't go as fast!

im rocking a 1992 specialized allez. the old road bikes arent too bad compared to the new ones. a bit slower for sure, slightly different geometry is noticeable, and im pretty sure its a size too small for me. im honestly a bit scared to take it out on longer rides with good descents. i have a 2x10 ultegra drive train on with with some 105 shifters in the box waiting to put them on their too. but man a 25+ year old carbon frame freaks me out.
