    @Chasespeed

new brifters tires pedals cables all around seat. Had a few gos around the street while I was dialing everything in. She rips. Will be on it for a long ride tomorrow after work I’m sure.

I figure if I get a season or two out of it and get back in shape - I probably won’t haul this one down to Texas I’d hand me down it somewhere here first. Going on a ride up on old campus in Orono next weekend and with a friend in Portland a few miles. Yeee haw. One the beer gut is gone I’m sure I’ll be making some better times

So school just got out and my kid wanted to go to Six Flags New England this week with some friends..
Presently a park ticket is $29....and Parking is $25....=$54....
    BUT
Season passes (which can be used at ANY six flags not just new england) Are $49 AND include parking this year...No brainer.

Hell I'm 28 and like 3 hours away from the New England one and that sounds enticing....

You can buy the season pass for New England and use it at any Six Flags the only catch is you have to physically go to the New England park to pick up your season pass to use it at other parks

I mean that's fine. I don't see myself going to further parks than New England though ... at least not this season.

While that may be true ....

Maybe on another cross country road trip I'll look at something like that. Could be cool.

If I never go on another "thrill ride" as long as I live it will be too soon. No thanks.

Boy I have been waffling for a long time on what to do for the bed of my truck... LineX or something else, I FINALLY ordered a full bed rug. See how one of these things work for a change.

I'm a roller coaster fan at this point, I guess. Last time I went on any sort of ride is probably high school. That's what my mountain bike is for

I do have to do my oil change(s) this week :( engine, front rear center diffs. Blech. Engine is priority, rear diff is number 2. Depending how the rear oil looks I MIGHT put off front and center until after this season.

I don't like roller coasters or anything either. My girlfriend loves that stuff, she's gone skydiving and everything. She asked if I'd go up in the plane with her and watch her jump if she went skydiving again. I told her nope, I'll watch from the ground.

Yep, that's what my buddy did. Tried to convince me to do a skydiving thing, I just watched from the ground. Ironically, the same plane as him a tandem pair had a chute fail and they had to use the backup.

The one time I had decent ones was my 83 Monte Carlo, it just happened to have the SS rims when I bought it..wasn't a selling point for me though.

An old girlfriend and I used to go on a weekend bus trip there every year.

Nice! We use to go to Wildwood, NJ for a week and then go over there for a day while we were down there

Hey all! What's new in the internet? Still on the install truck or the factory floor these days, so no 'computering' for me during the day, and I'm not online much in the evenings still either. It's made me into even more of a Luddite than I was before, I suppose. Definitely don't mind not sitting at a desk in front of a computer this time of year, though. The 4AM wakeup for when I'm on the install truck is a little rough; I haven't used an alarm in years because I'm usually awake between 4:30 & 5 anyway, but that's not quite early enough for this gig. Waking up to an alarm is unpleasant, I've rediscovered

All the best to all of you, though, in case I don't check back in for another week or so. :anonymous:

I'm used to being to work for 5am, sometimes earlier. I'm not a morning person, but getting out at 1pm definitely makes up for it.

For a decade my schedule has been 7-5:15, and I live 15 minutes from where I worked. So waking up at 4:30-5 left me a ton of time in the morning to shower, make breakfast, do some chores, etc. When I'm on the factory floor it's a 6:30-3 shift, but when I'm on the install truck I've got an alarm going off and I have to be out the door 30 minutes later(when I'm normally waking up). It's taking some adjustment, but most of the time I'm out at 3 so that's pretty sweet.

My work tried to change my hours to 7-3 recently, but my whole department complained. I admit while walking up at 6 would probably feel like sleeping in, working until 3 will feel so late, especially in winter.
