I have been contemplating getting an LT set up for a long time now and one of the last concerns I have is how long travel handles in snow. I drive in the snow quite frequently in the winter - both on roads - plowed and not.

Does anyone have first hand experience with driving in the snow and how the long travel may have affected the handling?

It's fantastic. My truck loves deep snow.

And how about plowed, icy roads? I would think the lean of the LT would put more weight on the outside tire (when turning) and cause the vehicle to handle worse

I have never been in snow deeper than 1ft but the suspension handles plowed roads fine. It really comes down to tire selection and driver skill more than being a bit wider with LT. I have had great experience with BFG All Terrains for the last 4 sets of tires on the truck.

^ LOL @ the timing of that comment. We've got snow coming tonight and the truck's going back on the jackstands so I can check out the front end. Something's not right with the front passenger side and I need to figure it out tonight so I can get to work in the morning!
