Hey guys. I have a 2020 TRD with the backup camera of course however would love to add a sensor. I need that audible beep. Is there an aftermarket version which works well and is not cost prohibitive? I know I need to get in the habit of looking at the camera but I typically look left and right and back up. Some A***ole put a hopping cart right behind my truck and after backing into it I now have a nice through the paint 12" scrape. Thanks in advance.

    Ok.....first things first.

Check around the truck before backing or getting in.
Don't rely on the camera. Turn around, look. The camera does not have a wide view like your eyes.

Reverse beepers are readily available. Generally, these will tap into the reverse lights.

    Good luck.

Oh, I'm not sure if the beeper would've helped the shopping cart get out of your path.

When you say reverse beeper are you talking about a backup alarm? I think he's talking about the actual rear parking sonar. I could be wrong but seems that way.

Sonar is a much more complex system. Likely cost prohibitive as an add-on.

    Yes, backup alarm/reverse beeper......

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Research trailer cameras - some have radar that changes pitch as you get closer.
Had one - worked fine for a few years but couldn't withstand New England's climate.
But as @Knute said, your eyes are the best judge of what's behind you - BUT you gotta look!

Yeah talking about a backup sensor alert. Figured it would be expensive. Thanks
