    I work for a large financial institution. While we are not really impacted by supply chain issues per se, we have been impacted (in a good way actually) by the large influx of cash from all those stimulus checks. Now you would think that most folks would just run out and spend that money, but we have seen savings and checking account balances rise and stay high throughout the pandemic. I guess folks have the money, but there are less things out there to spend it on! And you would think with inflationary pressures rearing their ugly head that banks would be raising interest rates. But so far the FED is holding rates right where they are (which is in the damn basement).
