Is there any cheap way I can get Apple CarPlay on my Entune 2(2018)

I bought a 2018 from a Chrysler dealership that had stated the stereo had Apple CarPlay. Well it doesn’t and I’m not a fan of stock navigation I see dongles but want to know 100% if they work. Any help would be appreciated!

 

Aftermarket if they ever restock anything is your best bet.

 

A aftermarket head unit? Also do you know if I have a android phone if the apps will work with it? I don’t even have anything to try it out with.

 

Something aftermarket. I'd suggest Crutchfield. They are a great company and will send you instructions to install and have free phone tech support for as long as you own the item.

Stock on that kind of thing has been low for about a year

 

Yep. I've been trying to get a Pioneer 6600 for six months.

 

I'd go after that dealership for false advertising. Maybe they'll do you a solid and pay for an install of an aftermarket radio.

Spotify, Pandora, Waze, Messenger, Messages, ect. - yes

If you want to run every app on your phone - no

If you want to run it all, there are the Chinese Android Head units readily available.
I'm running this one and love it so far. Plug and play, literally.

I test drove a 2018 with a Sony that included Carplay and loved it.
I'm heading to Crutchfield in a few days to start to design the upgrade for my 2018 Access Cab/Utility Package - no rear speakers - yet!

 

I just can’t justify spending 500$ for a new stereo. To my wife anyway lol
