    I guessed 12k before looking.
Those older trucks are cool, but I'm done working on them. A coworker has a nice 1976 short box chevy, 30k invested or more, I bet on the right day it could be bought for 18k.

My first vehicle was a 1978 Chevrolet short bed. Someone swapped a 6.2L diesel in it, it stayed broke down more than I drove it. I miss the truck but I don't miss working on it all the time.

Wallet in back pocket, 'phone in belt "holster", Swiss army knife, couple of bucks worth of change, a half-dozen "notes to self", and usually at least one or two examples of things I need to buy from the hardware store.

Several years back on a family vacation to Oregon Coast, I was looking at one of these (just plain black leather) and the kids are looking at me intently...NO DAD, well...several years ago I never would have give it a thought. In fact, back in 80's I had a very negative view of them. Anyhow, I didn't buy it. Several times through the years, I would say, if I only had that Fanny pack
Now just a year or so ago my daughter bought me one:oops:

I don't carry much in my pockets, my wallet comes out when I get in the vehicle. During the work week all my stuff stays in a lunch box; car keys, wallet, work keys, notebooks, checkbook, phone. I've gone into a store a time or two without my checkbook or wallet.
I've started wearing carpenter style blue jeans for a side pocket to carry my phone. Not all side pockets are created equal, even among same brand and style. S7

Edit, guess you could say my lunchbox is like a giant purse.

Time to break down and carry a purse or if your worried about your Man Card you can call it a tool bag.
