What I’m wondering is if there’s a seal behind that fitting that may not be good anymore or if i actually need to replace the whole line .
If it is the line I’m going to change it myself and I’m wondering if it’s as simple as unbolting and bolting on the new one. Any tips are appreciated.

There is a seal but it may not be one your can source by itself and I'm not sure where your would even find the part number of the dealer is saying that the whole line needs replaced. Repairing the AC system requires some specialized tools and equipment that the average home mechanic wouldn't have.

Unless you have a set of a/c gauges, vacuum pump, and oil for the system you won’t be able to do it yourself, or if you do get lucky it won’t blow very cold.

There are usually special O rings connected to that line. Unfortunately, out of personal experience, just have an AC pro take care of it. Replacing the line is worth it in case there is a rupture you can't see.

More importantly, need a way to recover the refrigerant currently in the system

If I am not mistaken, one needs a license to recover and load refrigerant to a vehicle. The gas is not cheap.

There's probably an Oring under there. But I, like others have never had a good time with messing w AC systems. Changing the part is one thing. But charging etc, I always struggle w.

She's getting her ass kicked in pretty good. The charge in an AC system is about the same amount of greenhouse potential as 6 months of driving your truck.

I’ll third what others have said: “use a professional” (hint: it doesn’t have to be the dealer)
Recovery, cleaning, vacuum drawdown and testing are things most shade trees can’t or don’t know how to do properly. Professionals will know how to test, and more importantly will know what ALSO needs to be replaced (hint: should also be the receiver/dryer).

If it's just not blowing cold recently, there is likely a majority of the refrigerant still in the system, just not enough to exploit the thermodynamics of phase change

    Evening,

That’s crap replace the pipe. You should just need the seal. It comes with the pipe, but appears also available by itself. You will need a certified a/c guy with and Evac and Recharge machine to get a vacuum on there to suck down and left freon and store it, replace the part, then fill and charge. The standard labor for an a/c evac and recharge is 1.4 mechanical hours. The part should be cheap as the labor to replace it. If the say you need the whole line, ask exactly why the seal cannot just be replaced. You will probably have to pay extra for lost Freon, usually $40-90.

Unless there’s damage to the line I can’t see from this pic, I would try replacing the line seals since they should be a heck of a lot cheaper.
Definitely try an independent shop that can recover your Freon since this type TOYOTA Freon is crazy $$ expensive.

    There's a $3 O-ring in there: https://parts.toyotaofnorthmiami.com/p/PACKING/69345100/8181704010.html

However you need to take it to a shop with an A/C cart to drain and fill the correct amount of refrigerant. The O-ring mating surfaces need to be sanded clean of corrosion or it'll leak again within a year.
