I just got a Rough Country Vertex 3” lift installed along with JBA upper control arms. I am having rubbing issues with the coil and the upper control arm when I turn to go into a driveway at low normal speed. The lift is a day old and hasn’t been on anything other than pavement and the components are already scratched up from them rubbing and don’t want more damage to be done. What can I do to fix this issue?

    What size tires?

What's your offset on your rims?

    What's your alignment specs?

Most likely you’ll need wheel spacers but someone more knowledgeable then I will answer once we hear your wheel and tire specs. Might be able to get some on sale during Prime day too!

    All the things!
Good call on trying to rotate the coil. However, JBA's are tubular.

I am running 285/75/17 Wildpeaks with -12 offset. Just got it aligned today and don’t get a print out with alignment specs.

Wheel spacers will stop the control arm from hitting the coil?

The control arms are tubular. So are you saying the coils are not seated properly? Forgive me being new to this but how would rotating a round coil make it stop hitting?

    Like, so many.
Is this is a common issue. I'm about to get some new UCAs, but I haven't heard of this happening.

Ohh, I read that wrong. Sorry about that. I’m not sure what can help with that.

In that case, maybe you don’t have the high caster UCA or the struts are extended too far giving you excess lift. Did you measure to see if it was 3”?

sometimes you can rotate the coil so that the UCA aligns with a gap rather than the coil itself when at full droop and then you are good to go if that makes sense.

That’s odd, you should be ok with the negative offset. I would see if you can get an alignment sheet. I would not run spacers if not needed

That makes total sense! Didn’t think of it that way.

I do not want to run spacers at all! I have plenty of room between the control arm and tire it’s the coil the arm is rubbing on that is the issue.
