Damn. Mine was supposed to be built around then and also coming to the northeast. Dealer said ETA late July though. You got lucky, sir!

I put a deposit down on an allocation. I asked for changes to the port options and they were able to make the chances and I verified that the requested changes showed up on the Toyota Owners page for my pre-build VIN #. The salesman is telling me there is no estimated build date in DealerDaily- is that possible? Every screenshot of DealerDaily I’ve seen has at least an estimated build date.

What happens when the new 2022 come out and all us guys who are still waiting for our 2021. Will we get some kind of discount from Toyota for waiting and losing $$$$ as our new 2021 would be 1 year old. This would mean our 2021 has depreciated more since ordering it.
What do you guys think should we just take it, wait or cancel and get a 2022 for the same price. Just saying

I hope you are right about the backlog on the 2022 cause it sure would pee me off if I still have not received my 2021 and I see 2022 on the roads or at the dealers.
But I am sure they will have to get all 2021 orders done before bringing out the 2022. Fingers crossed still the wait is killing me lol.

Not true actually, someone who has a 2021 that was built 10months prior to yours will have more miles on it theoretically. A 2021 with 15,000 miles will be valued less than a 2021 with 0-1000 miles. Even if you look down the road 5 years, and if both owners drove the same amount, they will have a 2021 with 65,000 miles, while yours will only have 50,000, so yours will have a higher value. It's actually advantageous to get a vehicle at the end of production, rather than beginning.

Truck is supposed to deliver to the dealer tonight or first thing in the morning. Unfortunately I have to work tomorrow and the dealer is 40 miles away. But, it's almost time to get off this roller coaster. Should be signed and driving home by 7pm tomorrow.

Yeah, had a document listing the price I agreed to, I signed it, they signed it. When I went to take delivery, and was sitting with the lady in finance, they price she was working up wasn't what I had agreed to. I pointed it out and she pulled up my signed document and it got corrected.

    Definitely get everything in writing.

How exciting! I had to sit through the finance sakes pitch of additional add-ons. I did add two years of full warranty so that my truck is fully covered for the life of the payments. Thought about the ceramic coating, but didn't want to get that added to the purchase price and pay interest on it. Will do it soon though.

Only issue I've had is a check engine light three days after the sign and drive. Crack in an exhaust weld. It's being taken care of.

    Let the mods begin! Lol

I ordered my Tacoma with Mark(Kiwi) from Avondale Toyota in AZ.

*I will post a photo later when the sun goes down.

2021 toyota tacoma: sr, double cab, short bed, v6, 4x4, magnetic gray metallic

I added all weather floor liners, door sill protectors, bed cleats, truck bed d rings to the order.

At the dealer, I swapped the 245/75r16 tires, steel wheels, and chrome lug nuts for 2021 trd pro tacoma wheels, 265/70r16 goodyear all terrains, and black lug nuts.

    Since then:

-tinted all the windows including the windshield with 50% suntek ceramic film (amazing by the way, it helps a lot in this scorching Phoenix heat)

    -debadged the tailgate

-painted the rear axle ends black to prevent surface rust and looks nicer since I don't run center caps
