    Not to start a new thread about it (sorta) but I'm installing All Pro sliders. They came with self tapping screws... I still have to drill a pilot hole to get them started, right?

    I would drill a small hole all the way thru, just to prevent the screw from "walking" on ya.

    Does it matter how large a hole? Also, how dense is the frame? I have a DeWalt 14.4V cordless drill and two batteries fully charged - will that get me through all 32 holes?

    Its probably best that you take the frame off and drill the holes on a press drill :D.... Sorry, I have no idea.

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    having them welded on is MUCH easier...lol drilling through that frame is a real bitch. and u gotta stop this modding shit, i'm supposed to have the pimpest 09 on here...if deep scratches and roughed up rims make me pimp i have nothing to worry about...lol...but i'll be getting my $3200-3500 all pro bill taken care of in the next 6 months

    The BEST thing would be to take them to a welding shop, and have them welded on.

    But if you have your heart set on bolting them up the i would ditch the cordless drill and go get a half inch corded drill....

    you can probably go ahead and paint the actual slider part of them...but i wouldnt mess with the cross bars/bars that go to the frame til you get them welded on.

    Go ahead and paint them, They have to grind the area thats to be welded anyway, so the paint in the area is going to be ground off. Just be sure to paint them as soon as they are welded and cooled.
