I had a weird problem like that and it was the front swaybar rubbing these two metal crossmember things that hold up the skid plate. Put some washers on the crossmember bolts to give it more clearance and it was fine.

For me it was when I had a bump or turn sharply a certain way. Someone else in this thread told me to check that and I thought it was bullshit but it worked.

I think that the reason for that is that the TRD Sport has a thicker anti sway bar than other models. It appears from your profile (on the side of your post) that you have a TRD Sport.

Has anyone been able to comferm with eibach weather these will work on the 2nd Gen Tacoma? I really like what I'm hearing about them and would like to put them on my 2nd Gen.

They'll fit but if you already have 5100s I don't know how much different it'll be. Once I get a bit of spending cash I'll probably sell mine for some foxs or kings.

Also they gave me a surprising amount of lift I have them dialed almost all the way down and it's leveled.

OOOH OK. I do have 5100 with the OME coils. Are you running them on a 2nd or 3rd gen? Thanks for your reply.

Begining to wonder if I should consider the fox 2.0 coilovers instead?!?!

One perk of these over the fox is them being made of steel vs the fox aluminum . Yes the aluminum will cool down faster. If you are racing across the desert that could be a plus. But the flaw is you can't adjust the foxes on your truck. The aluminum is soft and that pressure can definitely damage the threads. Now if you put the eibach kit on and it's now how you want it you can easily adjust it. From own experience I've never gotten my lift exactly where I want it the first time. So its always been deal with it or take it back off the truck. That was the selling point to me on this kit.

Damn.. for some reason wheelers off-road had the coilovers listed at $550.. I called to check stock and they noticed the price error and fixed it before I ordered! ha

I have red that. That is the reason I started looking at the eibach. I like the fact that I can fine tune them. Thank you for reminding me of that fact. I would feel better if eibach would come out and say that they would definitely work on the 2nd Gen and if they would get them in stock. Thanks for all the replies!!

I saw that on Tuesday and placed an order thinking I’d get a call that it was a mistake and that they were back ordered. Got a notice last night that they shipped. Got the 2.0 coil overs and matching rear shocks for $760!

anyone come from 6112/5160's to the eibach stage 2's? getting ready to pull the trigger cant decide on which to go with.

bilsteins tested and proven, eibach on truck adjustability good heritage

Those were the two choices I narrowed down to as well. I went with the Eibach for the adjustability. Also reading multiple people complaining their bilstien products starting to leak. Though the complaints were all the 5110 series. I just felt like going with the eibach 2.0 would be better.

planning to put a 3" lift on her (I think)
Installed the 2.0 with JBA’s and I dig them. Standard height it’s butter but once I went up to 2.5 they felt a little stiff for my taste. Going to drop to 2 plus a CMC to resolve any rubbing issues. I also prefer a leveled stance cause I’m a dork.

Eibach’s website list the same part number for the 2nd and 3rd 2.0 kit now. I also spoke to them as well and they confirmed over the phone.

I actually ordered the eibach 2.0s for my 2nd gen a while ago but my supplier never got them or failed to order, so i ordered Fox 2.0s w rear resi’s. eibach is supposedly working on a rear resi as well. I’m very happy w the Fox kit which are very smooth riding but I’m sure the Eibachs are sweet too. The fox uses a 600 lb 13” Eibach spring and the Eibachs use a 600 lb 14” Eibach spring and their own valving. I wouldn’t hesitate w either.
