If I'm using wasabi, I use a shockingly large amount. But heck, I wouldn't want to brush my teeth with it.

    Here's today.

I finally got around to adjusting all the fucking pocket doors so that they clear the new floors. (Damn weird 1960s house is absolutely obsessed with pocket doors)

    So I'm on this one:

    20210620_170745.jpg

And I realize it won't budge. Even after lifting it to the new floor it won't budge. And then it slowly dawns on me:

That when I nailed up these guys a couple years ago, I nailed them through the door. :anonymous::anonymous::anonymous:

This is fucking great. However, you had to be thrilled when you realized what the problem was. So funny.

The worst part is coming to the conclusion that I like the mitt hooks more than I like the door, so it's fucking staying that way.

I just spent 30 seconds trying to shut off my ceiling fan with the tv remote. The fans remote is small and white, the tv remote is long and black, ive had both for 4 years......I actually was getting pissed the fan wouldn't shut off....then, that AH HA moment hit me. Had to share.

Hiring manager just emailed me to contact HR to get with them about a job opportunity and I replied to the email not realizing my Gmail name was set to Mc Rib for entertainment purposes.

Oh there will be some mods all right
I suppose it's time I add another story to this thread. One day I decided I wanted better lighting in the garage. The fluorescent bulbs were not the greatest and especially sucked in the winter time. I decided I would buy LED replacements, the ones shaped like fluorescent ones. I did absolutely no research, just went and bought like a $140 worth of the LED lights. Started popping them in all the light fixtures. Like half were dim and the other half didn't work at all. Couldn't quite figure out what was up, thought maybe it was just the old fixtures being finicky or something. Turns out those LED replacements only work in a certain type of fixture that I did not have. Not only do they not work, but it actively damages them. So needless to say I threw away a fair chunk of change...

I went in to my local Lowes to find only about 1/3 of the new LED fixtures illuminated.
Got the story from a guy who works there. Seems the contractor was working overnight on the upgrade and apparently did something very wrong.
Blew the drivers in 2/3 of the fixtures -- someone didn't do their homework.

when i just started working at a large company that had a cafeteria, I was used to eating off-campus when I worked at smaller companies.
my first time eating in the caf: after i paid for my food and was looking for utensils, i was surprised that they only had 1 bin and the knives, spoons, and forks were all mixed up in the same bin. so i grabbed a fork, which looked not very clean, and then i wiped it and went on my way.

About a month later, I realized THAT bin is for the dirty utensils after eating...
