On both of my Tacoma's I filled my holes with silicone before inserting the bolts. You could smell it in the truck for a about a week.

Yea, renting them is as much as buying a new one. And yes, since I move at a snails pace, it's better to just buy one.

 

Yea I walked the pooch at lunch and left my rain jacket off just to feel the coolness of it. It was 103 (heat index) here the other day. Fuckin' downright nasty!!!!

Great job! I'm curious to hear how you like the quality of the suspension. My 3rd gen 4 runner is going on 4 years on a 'budget' refresh that was only supposed to be on there for 1 year max. It rode ok and never bothered me much until I did the 3rd gen taco OR suspension swap on my 2nd gen Taco. That's when I realized that I want my 'runner to be a bit "plusher".

 

Do it, pallets are like big lego blocks. A box of construction screws goes a long way with a bit of imagination.

 

I'll keep you in the loop. Currently its still settling, so maybe the feel will change. Doesn't necessarily ride like on a cloud, but I think its better than stock. Despite having almost 230k on them, the stock shocks still dampened pretty well and took only a little less force to compress than the new Dobinsons. Nowhere near the loose blown-out feel of worn shocks, I was actually pleasantly surprised when I pulled them off lol. That being said, I don't have a really crappy shock ride feel to compare too, but I think the new Dobinson's are doing well. I mostly got them for the 12" bolt on rear shocks for all the flexs lol

Any reason I should try and fix the P0456 code before driving 3 hours to the beach? I’ve taken the gas cap on and off a few times and maybe that will clear it during the self tests. Had Autozone run the code and it says small evac leak. Fuel pump was replaced last week over 200 miles since then and 50 miles and a few days since last fill up.

 

I'd be interested, I don't have any TV currently but I'm getting tired of streaming movies on a 14" computer screen. I'm near Westminster, I could meet you around Lisbon, West Friendship area?
