having a real job sounds like a blast or horrible and nothing in between? I go paid to play wiffleball today and watch some YouTube while I rebuilt a couple pool cleaners? I think it’s a W overall even if I’m severely underpaid just because my title and the amount of work I’m doing don’t correspond. I’m not 21 so can’t be an assistant manager. Therefor I cannot receive a raise. So rest of summer im going to kick back and work at the level im getting paid to work at.

Don't. Just do your job like you've been doing. Work ethic is something that should be at the forefront. You can't teach that shit and if you have it you need to use it. You'll be bored as fuck if you don't.

Back in 2008 there was a very big housing crash. That crash caused a lot of carpenters to be out of work. I stayed employed. Not because I got lucky. Because I always work hard and am good at what I do. For almost 2 years I took a 20% pay cut. Not once in that 2 years did I stop working the way I've always worked. When the economy got a little better and people started to build and remodel again I was given a 30% pay raise. Work hard and it pays off.

    Just to clarify
    Did that -20
    Turn into a +30
    = a +10 total?
    Or was that a -20 return to 0 +30 netting a true +30?

I see your point but I’m simply working retail. I’m done with this company and retail after this summer.
My “boss” is a 28 year old guy who started same time I did 3 years ago and he’s already said it’s bullshit I can’t get the 2.50 more per hour I should be getting. Also said he’ll gladly be a reference.
I’ll simply be putting the energy saved into more research on investing and trading/ taking in as much as I can from some summer projects my dad and I are going to work on. Some stuff that will be helpful in the future to know how to do. For starters- Electrical. I know jack shit. We’ve got some house projects as well as hopefully running my amp in the truck if we get around to it. I feel I can gain more if I actually try to pay attention to what we’re doing rather than just slugging through it cus I’m already spent from work.

I get your point of work ethic and don’t let it decline and have my standards lower.

You get to go through a lot of shit before you get to a point where you joke about getting fired just to get some time off. All of us work hard, and have worked hard for a lot of years. You'll get there too, and come to realize it sucks just as much as we joke about lol

Just get through college and start your career. Literally everything you're worried about right now job wise means nothing.

    That’s still pretty gangster.

so fun story of unrelated nature

today I had my first chance to go down to a local shop called house of bourbon here in lexington

they are in theory one of the only locations legally allowed to purchase private bourbon collections

I took 10 bottles in today to test the waters

    I took blantons
    Weller full proof
    Weller special reserve
    Willet rye 6yr
    Hancock reserve
An Elijah craig small batch (old bottle style ie rare)
And a jack Daniels single barrel select off of the Queen Mary 2017 bottling

out of all of the offers for each variation
    I only sold 4 bottles
    For a 600$

I found them to be incredibly rude and snobby almost like they didn’t think I was part of their cool kids table
And the prices on some of the bottles reminded me of trading games in at game stop

10/10 would not recommend giving them your business at any time

    Fair enough.

Car audio is pretty straight forward. My 4Runnner has 2 amps. A 4 channel powers the front and rear door speakers. I monoblock powers the 10" sub. If you want any pointers when you get around to installing it just ask.

Probably because you're an ex marine trying to do good in the world and not a snobby old fuck with a bourbon collection in their private tasting room

I’m trying to run a 4 channel to doors and tweeters. For simplicity’s sake I may not run it to the tweeters. The rear doors on turd gens are super under powered. Not adding a sub so I can keep my valuable storage.
Do all vehicles have doors and tweeters with + and - wired separately. Only wiring I have done anything with before is adding a sub and an amp In the XJ we had. Was much simpler as well as I wasn’t doing a ton of it myself. 12 year old me only understood so much of what was happening.

He legit gave me attitude cause I wanted a email back to my offers to sell my lot of 600 bottles
( I fluffed my numbers just slightly )

and he wanted me to bring them all in
    And I was like dude
I have more bourbon than I can physically move, I am not bringing in all of it for prices if the prices on these easy ones aren’t worth my time

The smug attitude off them was nauseating

you should read some of their yelp/google reviews

after looking myself at the reviews after I got home
My experience made a lot more sense

No. The tweeters usually get power from a crossover. The crossover gets power from the +/- that go to the door speakers.

I had a boss who was a wine snob years ago. I went to his house when he hosted tasting parties and all that. Same thing.

Imagine, in 20 years there'll be geeked out pokemon card snobs with private viewings.
