The MAF along with intake stroke and rpm provide everything needed according to PID 43 in the link below. I have no clue if the Taco ecu needs to know barometric pressure or not. I feel like it only cares about the airflow (or mass of air flow) though. Can’t prove it though!
    http://obdcon.sourceforge.net/2010/06/about-pid-calculated-load-value/

what I do know is you can look at the manifold pressure PID on my taco with a scan tool, but it is definitely not accurate. It will show like 45psi of boost when I’m pushing 6psi. Hence why I use a real guage for boost and my scan gauge for AFR.

How does with shifting feel with this combo?

I had my 4.88s paired with 31s before I ever got a tune. The gears helped tremendously...certainly still a little wonkiness between 3/4 and 4/5 but it wasn't a nightmare like stock gearing. Adding KDMaxx was icing on the cake to tie it all together. I'm wondering whether 4.88s/33s/SC would feel similar to what I experienced with the 4.88s/31s.

I have 4.88's + 33's + SC and it pulls harder then it ever did before the SC. Towing my 4k trailer up major grades it pulled like a tuned up big block or maybe even a mediocre heavy diesel.

What about shift patterns, though? I understand the power is a huge improvement, but how noticeable is the gear hunting with 4.88s + S/C?

I felt like the shifting is better than stock but its not OVTune good although the added power really cleans up the need for the engine to start spaz shifting. I usually tow in 4th unless its flat and i'll unlock 5th, I was happy with the way it handled it but there's still some room for better shifting.

Awesome, thanks. If I can pull in 4th I'll be happy. Right now my 4th gear loses speed on most inclines...it needs some serious help. I think the writing on the wall is that we'll be able to tune the S/C at some point in the near-ish future. Makes sense to order now and hope for the best.

I'm watching OVtune for the fuel pump controller and then maybe it'll be time for a smaller pulley.

Not only will it pull 4th gear but it will still accelerate into 5th and 6th but towing in 4th was great.

I’ve used Innovate LC1 on cars in the past with good results. One car was running megasquirt and the other was on Weber dcoe’s.

I've got the Innovate Motorsport PSB-1 PSI & AFR gauge, I like it although my WB O2 is post catalytic converter so I'm not 100% the AFR is super accurate.

I may give you a shout after July 4th weekend if I haven't pulled the trigger by then. Do you have gears?

Sounds good man just let me know. No gears, that's next on the list but just paid my full invoice on my GFC today/also bought and installed a power brake BBK+grabbed way over face WSMFP tickets so it's gonna be a while now before gears lol. Does anyone know if they are even offering tunes for gears? I wouldn't be surprised if they didn't up the governor to account for getting cut off of throttle around 80-85mph with 5.29's

Haha just let me know when man I think I owe ya one

I emailed Magnuson last week asking about a tune specifically for GFC/33s/4.88s, no response back yet. I called the guys over a R4T last week and they said they'd also look into it. I'll report back once I get more info.

Magnuson responded back that, yes, "we can supply calibration/tuning for light modified vehicles which would include your Tacoma." I think I would want to hear someone on the phone say that they had a specific version for 4.88s before I handed over my payment info, but it sounds like they can accommodate.

no way to confirm that what they say is what they do. Especially since their tune is locked. I have the SC and 4.88's and supplied them this information for my calibration "Tune." Their calibration tune has the OEM shift pattern - just like it had pre-gears and pre-2.0. What they need to do is to use Mat's shifting logic from 2.0 in conjunction with their CARB Tune. I sent Ryan the unlocked 2.0 file - he replied that shifting logic affects MPG. I told them I totally agree -- their shitty shifting logic results in worse MPG. Got no response from Ryan on that. Hoping they will actually take a look at the file I sent and give it a try. Not that hard to take the shifting logic portion of the file and port it into their tune.

Anyone having continued burping out of the intercooler reservoir? Mine seems to keep weeping fluid out the cap even after burping the system and making sure the level was set as the manual says. It's not really a big deal, just a minor annoyance I'd prefer to have fixed.
