Anyone ever add them ? I added the Subaru tweeters and rockford front door speakers but still miss having surround sound in my cab. Anyone have a easy fix for this?

The access cab doors take a 6.5" speaker. MrMarv on here made the sub box I put in my access cab sport.
I would think the radio can handle powering another set of speakers as they should be the same as the one in a double cab sr and i think they also have speakers in the rear door. you would just have to extend the wires to the rear door from the head unit. if not the best route would be to replace the headunit and then extend the wires to the rear door while adding a set of 6.5"

No speaker grilles in the Utility Package, and they are not available separately. I need to figure out if speakers/subwoofer will go in door(s), rear panel, or under seat(s). The panel (welded plastic) where the speakers would be mounted is curved, just to make things more difficult. Waiting to see what Crutchfield suggests.

Seems like they molded over the original then covered it. You'd be left with the 6 holes.
P.S. the speaker are mounted on the door, not the panel.

Yep, I get where the speaker mounts. No speaker wiring with the Utility Package, either.
Curved surface on door panel would make it difficult to use an aftermarket speaker grille.

The connector for the speakers shares other circuits, it might have the wires slots to the speakers empty at the door area.

Thanks for the diagram. I'll have to check while I have the panel off.

The connectors shown are not in the door, they are in cab side near the door boot.

I need to bump this and ask if anyone has seen the wiring “extension” that Toyota would have used to wire the Access Cab door speakers?

I would like a clean install if at all possible instead of cutting the open plug off and running my own wires for the speakers.

    TIA,
    GB

There actually are speaker grills under the blank panel, but they have several big ugly holes in them.

I have the 4 door, and the rear speakers dont get half the volume that the front speakers do. Not worth getting rear aftermarket speakers for this reason, so what I did was run the speaker wires from the rear speakers (behind the HU), to my under seat 8" Powered Sub. It only requires a low wattage signal. Perfect!

This helps the oem HU run full volume to the front speakers, and I can control the Sub out volume on the oem HU.

Sounds great with the front speaker setup. Only thing I would differently, is now they came out with a 10" under seat Sub.
