Do you know if Firestone has the same policies? Just ordered a set of new tires on Simpletires to be installed by them; would hate for them to scratch my new wheels from you!

I have no clue about Firestone. Before Bert's post, I had no idea that DT would issue any type of policy like that. However, I do understand how and why business would come to that type of conclusion.

All you need to do is ask them if they use back-coning or a pin plate to balance wheels/and tires. If they do then you're most likely safe. If they don't then I would look else where.

All I know is my buddy had his stealth 6’s chipped during mounting and has been waiting for 3 or 4 months to get them replaced by discount tire. Pretty sure they just don’t want to deal with the hassle of having a pissed off customer that they can’t get wheels for

Something ive been wondering about... how bad will those kids wreck my wheels trying to balance them lol

Im not super concerned about some scratches, as these wheels are going to get hammered on offroad. But the idea of some guy marring up my wheels because he was being lazy setting it onto the machine infuriates me. I may end up just buying the tires from AT/DT and then having the local race shop mount/balance them.

You're local so go to WD Garage in Fremont. Talk to Zoeb and tell him Vin sent you. Or Auto Innovations in Milpitas. Both legit shops that know what they're doing and uses proper tools based on the wheels they're working with.

Ordered Monday and they showed up today. Sadly I have to wait 2 weeks for tire install while looking longingly at the stack of boxes in my living room.

No 265/70/r17 .. Did rub in the front with the -10 offset on the wheels (stock suspension) so just removed them for now and all good!

Definitely more things to do on the truck, a lift specifically, in the future that hopefully fixes that problem.

Not on the flap part, but where the mudflaps bolt on to the fender flare/body. In the middle there's this stupid 0.5-1 inch bulge (yes I said bulge) that seems to serve no purpose and it was rubbing there. Might heat gun or mallet it down and try again.

I see. Thank you for that. I currently have 17x8.5 +0 on 265/70 and i was rubbing on the mudflaps so i took the fronts off. Now no problem. I was looking at the scs wheels too but all come in -10.

Np! Yeah I went from stock OR wheels which are 16x7 +25mm I believe. Now at 17x8.5 -10mm which is a net 35mm difference, not insignificant. But for you going from +0 to -10mm should be good? Like I said, no rubbing on my end without the mud flaps. Also just ordered some plasticolor cheapo flaps that I'm going to put in the front now haha. They're supposed to be minimal / non protruding.

I HATE that I found SCS Ray10s and they are no where to be found. Reached out to SCS and due to COVID they have no idea when they will see another shipment.

Welcome to the world of SCS wheels. Nobody knows when a stock comes and generally sold out within 5 minutes. Then it’s months of waiting once again.
