It seems pretty clear from the kit description that the kit will not fit Double Cab Long Beds. I am curious if anyone has installed the kit on a DCLB or had a dealer do it? Just wondering what the issue is.

there is no issue. I installed on mine with an AAL no problem. Likely say it’s not compatible due to some legal technicality from corporate.

I don't think you can buy them solo. I think they are bundled in with the grille and sensor part number package.

Hi all, I’m new here and thought I’d put up a couple pics of my 2021 Off-Road I just got last week. Had the dealer install the TRD lift before I drove it off the lot. They honored a Memorial Day sale price on the lift for me, $1050 and I couldn’t pass it up. So far I couldn’t be happier with it.

Call up your local Toyota part departments, someone here got the shock lift kit for $320. I paid little more at my local Toyota dealer but they had it in stock for local pickup and I didn't want to wait. If you want the best price google the part number mentioned in previous posts and look for the listings from Toyota dealers near you so don't have to pay shipping.

Thank you for this. I am a caveman when it comes to suspension. You purchased the TRD Kit and then added an AAL such as the Icon 1.5"?

Unfortunately. They probably got them before Toyota did the stop-sale on the shock kit.
You can only get them now if you buy the entire kit or buy them individually like I had to do because Toyota changed the part number and now they cost about $100 each. I just paid about $430 shipped for my shock set a few weeks ago.
these are the prices I paid for each

    PTR13-35210-RR Taco Suskit Shock Rear $99.19 1
    PTR13-35210-FR Taco Suskit Shock Front $105.38 1

No problem! I ordered the TRD shocks only (not the whole kit) and then I ordered the Icon 1.5” 3 leaf AAL. Gave me exactly a 2” lift in the front and 1.5” in the rear. Super happy with it.

For those that put the heritage grill did you get pre collision malfunction afterwards? I’ve been reading to drive for 100 miles to recalibrate or put a washer. Thanks

I have an aftermarket version and aftermarket garnish. I never got any errors but I put the washer in from the getgo.
did you plug it back in? I did that one time and was like OH SHIT and then realized a min later I forgot to plug it in

Just got the lift kit installed by a dealer today. Overall very happy. Something curious however- my rear passenger side is a bit lower then the rest of the truck. On 16" Tacoma Pro wheels and stock tires. Measurements to center fender:

    DF- 37"
    PF- 37.25"

    DR- 37.25"
    PR- 36.75"

Is this amount of discrepancy normal?

I don't understand why they include non-adjustable rear shocks if all they are using is a 1" rear block???? Why not stick with the OEM rear shocks????

Almost the same as mine...I went from (approximately) 34-7/8" Front and 36-5/8" rear to 37-1/4" front and 38-5/8" rear.

Factory lift kit. Lomax tri fold Tonneau.
    From the press release:
The rear Bilstein shocks employed in the kit also enhance off-road performance thanks to their larger shock body compared to the standard Tacoma shock (2 inches vs. 1.5 inches). The larger shock body houses additional oil volume to help dissipate heat and improve damping response on demanding off-road terrain. The larger rear shock bodies also accommodate larger pistons compared to stock and they employ a piston rod that is 4mm larger for increased strength.

Its usually the opposite. The drivers side rear is usually a little lower. Thats how mine is.

Curious if that is bigger than the Sport shock, but the same as the Off Road shocks.
