    Story Time With Gritto

    I had a neighbor once who just couldn't say no to his wife.
    She saw a Black snake in her yard one time and freaked.
    She demanded that hubby kill all snakes.

    There were a couple stone fences and brush covered rock piles (dens) on the property.
    Prime places for Garter snakes and Black Racers.
    Harmless snakes.

    Dutifully, he did his best to burn them all out.
    And killed every snake that he found in the open.
    Probably didn't actually kill very many, and a lot fewer than he told me, I bet.
    I told him it was pointless. :notsure:

    But a few of those snakes can wipe out, in one go, all the baby mice in a nest.
    Repeatedly.

    The following Winter was a cold one.
    (You know what's coming, don't you).
    Field mice got in their house, lots of them.
    Silly wife freaks out...again...and tells Mrs Gritto.

    Mrs Gritto, who is anything but silly, didn't feel any sympathy.
    She told her to get a cat. :rolleyes:

    Just left my lil fellas birthday party. The Sames are 4 today and Tobias will be 5 on Friday. They had icecream for breakfast and birthday cake for supper....guess who’s house they are spending the night at tonight?!
