NYI had one of ‘those’ nights. I felt bad for Varlomov, none of those 3 goals were his fault but I understand the goalie swap to maybe ignite the team.

 

Brutal game. But those happen sometimes. See if NYI can bounce back. Will be tough if Barzal gets suspended though.

 

I felt like that was a weak major. Yes he did cross check to the head, but there wasn’t much force to it and the Bolts definitely upsold it. You could almost hear the, “mommy, brother isn’t moving!”

 

Ya I actually thought the same. I couldn't understand how he was laying there for so long. It didn't look like he "cross-checked" him. Looked like it was mostly glove. I dunno, maybe I am wrong. I don't want to say he was acting a bit, but it seemed like it.

 

Sounds like MAF back again tonight. Not exactly what I expected but I don't think it's necessarily a bad move either. Will be interesting.

Habs, man lol. So crazy. Great team win. They did their thing, especially getting that 1st goal, which is huge for them. Price was clutch. MAF was ok. Gotta think Lehner plays now though, but then again I though he would've played tonight.

 

I would play lehner. Flury is a head case right now.

Yep. That's pretty much what I was trying to say too. Habs game plan was executed to perfection last night. Just no room for Vegas forwards to get quality chances or rebounds. It's basically what Montreal and NYI have done to their opponents most games. When they execute like that, it's very very tough. And the other goalie would have to be out of their mind to steal that game. MAF maybe on the hook for 1 of those goals but in general he did his job. It probably would not have mattered. Just looks bad now though because Vegas got outplayed in the previous game and Lehner actually did steal them one, in my opinion. But what can you do. See what happens moving forward.
