Looks awesome! We have the same headlights and tail lights! What was your color choice to bring back into the look? It seems like white? Purple is my thing for me but not sure how to set it up on the front end.

Yup, down the road I'd like to replace the halogen projectors with a led projectors and change the white DRL bar to white/chasing amber.

Ya all black gets pretty boring after awhile. So ya white and gray lol

Depending on your local laws I would be careful replacing front end lights with purple. Might get you a side of the road convo with the HP.

It was a PITA. The instructions that came with the kit were just about useless. You almost certainly have to pull the axle from the bearing (read replace the bearing assembly) and press the new bearing while the kit and parking brake assembly are mostly in position. Be certain you have all the parts and some cash incase something goes wrong. I ended up having a shop press the new bearings and they messed one up. They're a good shop so they replaced it free of charge, thankfully, but it can and will get expensive. I'm happy with the results, but I wouldn't have done it if my drums didn't kick the bucket right then.

Thank you for that. Does the ABS know or care that it's a disc and not a drum?

The ABS works off of the wheel speed sensors that attach to the wheel bearing assembly, so it doesn't care what's doing the stopping.

Thanks for explaining. I find all of these upgrades pretty interesting. Doing discs all around sounds neat - or sounded - until I found out you need to pull axles and replace wheel bearings. That seems like a pretty huge amount of effort. But, when my drum breaks die I might think about it.

Another location usually cheaper with 10% off buy on line, pick up in store. Price varies on location. I’ve always got them cheaper than Amazon there https://www.batteriesplus.com/search?q=Battery+box

No pic but just for funsies, anti sway bar is out! Have parts due in to rebuild it, gonna drive it for a few days and decide on either rebuilding it or returning the parts and keeping it ditched. Would having it on or off affect an alignment? Have one scheduled for next week.

How hard is this to do. I think this might be what's wrong with mine. Light started flashing which it had done in the past but went away so I didn't bother checking anything else

I see. I may try to do this eventually but for now it seems drums brakes are gonna stay on the truck lol
    Thanks for the info.

I removed my in bumper 32” light bar, two Dually hood lights and changed the headlights. I plan to replace the bumper light bar with a new 10W amber/white single row unit. I used the amber D2’s way more than the white light bar. These cheap EBay headlights are only a year old and are already yellowed and pitted. They didn’t leak though as I had put silicone on them before installation. This time it only took me an hour and a half including siliconing the edges. I installed them with the silicone still wet. I changed my parking spot out of direct sunlight. Hopefully these will last more than a year. I still have to adjust them when it gets dark.

Updated my 265/70r17 KO2s to 275/70r17 Wildpeak AT3s. Look far more aggressive than I thought they would, but also bigger than I had allotted for. Had to remove my bushwhacker flares due to the rubbing.

So, question for the experts.. I have 5100s on the stock setting, and OME 2887 springs. Should I raise the adjustment on the shock, or add a 1/2” or 1” top-spacer?

    This won’t affect your alignment.
I removed mine a few weeks ago and haven’t noticed much change on the street (I do have Toytech springs). Under hard braking while steering, I think the truck dives a little more than it used to.
On the trail, I noticed a really big improvement in comfort. The ride was not choppy over the potholes & washboard like it used to be.

Alignment is overdue, new leafs in the rear that went up an inch, front went up a couple with brand new 6112s. But good to know it isnt affected if I decde to put it back. Test drive without it is coming up!
